ok boys.... who's got both new scooters and can tell down to the washers and bolts whats actually different and what can/cant swap?

It looks like tank and shrouds are different, not sure if you can just swap the tank and shroud plastic over of it the mounts are different as well? Im particularly interested in what the setup is on the triple clamps for offset and angles and if suspension valving and stroke is the same as husky or the ktm setup? im either buying a GG or another sxf as a backup bike for this winters training trip would would like the RED bike based on the pricing difference and the color is cool too. not worth if it many components are different...

Gas tank is different by the cap, so rule out a shroud swap.

Looks like the subframes and airboxes are identical though

TC/Curve Switch set ($150)
Top Triple that allows for Rubber Mounted bar clamps ($150-200 when you shop wisely and that's IF ya really need it).

THAT IS ALL THAT YOU REALLY NEED..."if" ya really need it.

But, I could be wrong...and I am wrong sometimes.

Case in point: in a recent duscussion about "the next Rockstar/Red Bull Edition" I was a year "behind". I actually thought we were talking about the bikes I've seen in testing recently.
Guess what?
We -weren't-...which is funny as hell and makes it very clear: I was wrong.
So, there's always that!

I’m curious if the changes have any theory or engineering concept behind them or if they are solely for the purpose of differentiating the product.

Mainly to save some cost

The fuel on/off is a screw plunger type like the smaller bikes not a normal tap

Thought this was cool driving down the road the other day...

Two GAS GAS bikes (Husky employee)

Orange rear fenders, red middle/shrouds, white front ends. A blend of all three...

I have my GasGas450 and my 20 Rockstar 450 that I sold to a buddy and my cousins KTM450 in my garage and just from looking at all 3 bikes the gas tank and plastic are all new on GasGas and like Talisker said the GasGas has a KTM airbox and subframe and it's definitely a Husky swingarm. I just couldn't deal with the solid bar mount vintage bike clamps and bought a set of the better clamps from the powerparts catalog. I normally spend an easy $2500 on parts when I pick my new bike up and because everything short of the plastic from my Rockstar 450 fit it I only spent $860 on clamps, map switch, skid-plate, hr meter and Ti pro pegs which was nice.

Can some of you guys help me with this. If I'm looking for parts (new or used) and they aren't "listed" for GasGas yet...what will fit the new GG450?

Triple Clamps
Complete Exhaust
Engine Parts (Clutch, Clutch Cover, Pump Cover, etc. etc.)
Wheels

Thanks!

I'm looking at the Dirt Bike Mag Buyer's Guide with the KTM 125 at $7399 and the Gas Gas 125 at $6799. If they are that close, how come the Gas Gas is $600 cheaper?
That Gas Gas is Bad Ass!

per the reviews, forged triple clamps vs billet, no traction control, no ecu switch, no launch control

its the "basic" version of KTM, or the Suzuki version LOL

No hour meter, silver wheels, maxxis tires. Its still a hell of a deal for a bike.
