I bet this didn’t go over well if true.

When’s the last successful claim?! Alessi’s 80?

From MX Sports:

The claiming rule value is two times the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) at the National event.

Honestly probably a pretty good deal for that bike

Years ago at the Freestone Spring Championship, when Haiden was racing 50's Brian brought a boat load of cash and threatened to claim the entire 50 class.

Didn't they get caught with a big bore kit on 65's or something like that?

Good, maybe it will keep these factories from putting these kids on factory bikes.

I think it was the Spring National at Oak Hill when he was on 50’s, he was protested and refused to allow tear down.

Was this after they got protested at Oakhill for running a big bore kit on their 50 and got DQ'd.

Oh, I didn’t realize that they confirmed big bore. I always thought that was a bad look for their program and wondered if it would have a negative effect on Haiden’s path. He seems like a good kid and I am impressed with his ability and vision on the track. These guys that see lines that most don’t and turn bumps into rhythms are impressive.

Big bore kit on a 50 and it was Casey Cochran's dad that had made the protest

Well Haiden is a "B" rider, correct. Why wouldn't "B" riders have factory bikes??Angry

I’ve always liked Brian but screw him if this is actually true. What a great way to make enemies (if true.)

Forget about the Deegans for a sec; do any of you goofies actually think that Star would put their reputation on the line by running a cheater bike at the biggest amateur race in the country?

It wouldn't be a cheater as the classes he's running aren't limited classes. The question would be was he protested or claimed, big difference. If this rumor is true, then someone claimed it just to have a Star bike and to see what's inside it. The claim rule is there to ensure factory level kids aren't racing 40k bikes.
