In what just continues to build into an amazing event the 2014 VMXdN just gets bigger and bigger. Good news for riders the entries for the 2014 vmxdn are to be opened online on 1st feb 2014 please head over to www.vetsmxdn2014.co.uk and sign up on Feb 1.
The entry list is a whos who of Motocross legends. Included in 2014 will be Roger DeCoster, Dave Thorpe, J.M.Bayle, Broc Glover, Werner Dewitt, John Dowd, Graham Noyce, Neil Hudson Doug Dubach and some big surprises.
Of course having the great Roger DeCoster there is brilliant, but what many British fans will never forget was the performances Dave Thorpe at the Farleigh Castle circuit. In fact Thorpes involvement in 2014 came from another possible legend who would only appear if the British legend was also involved.
Here is a cool story from event organizer Dave King.
“The Thorpe thinging went like this… I was at Glen Helen in October with Doug Dubach. Doug knows I am a mx anorak and said come with me I will introduce you to Johnny O’mara who was training a guy. After meeting O’Mara I asked him to come to the VMXdN, and he said “I will only come if David Thorpe will be there.” He said he had so much admiration for Thorpe and stated he was the best!! So I got on the phone on the way back to Dougs place, and I did a deal to get DT there.”
While O’Mara isn’t 100% sure on being in the starting list, event organizer Dave King is working hard to have the former US and MXdN hero involved.

IF the Thorpe and O'Mara thing goes down, I'm booking a trip to Jolly old England this year...
The Shop
Plus there are no shit storms at the VMXdN. It's MX as it should be, with a great atmosphere and no animosity. Heck, the riders are too old for that nonsense.
Real racing, real track.
Roger on the Lap of Legends at Red Bud 2008. And no, he didn't "Let Brock Bye."
