Pretty cool that he’s still wanting to stay around.

I doubt that.
He has said in several interviews that he needs the money. Also said how his son was a ranked amateur tennis player and its very expensive to be a competitive player. Old MX champs are not rolling in the money like everyone thinks.

Isn't that Son a Doctor (or very close to full qualification) now? The tennis thing is long ago, as I think injuries (from Tennis) sent him towards medicine.

Needs money? - we all do.

I look forward to another 2 years from a Great Man, and, if he so chooses, more, after that.

Roger is the most important person in usa Motocross/Supercross/bike development/rider development history. He also raced a bit himself lol. Nobody is in the same league as Roger. The Man.

Roger can stick around as long as he wants in my opinion. The dude is a legend. Not many can say that in any sport

I thought that was was the reason he left Zuki. Invested in the housing market, and lost big. One would think in his clause he has something to do with bike sales... ktm has to be going through the roof since he jumped on board. He turned it around. Team/brand.
Have to respect his honesty.

Don't see anything wrong with it. Roger seems like the kind of guy that would lose his mind out of boredom if he retired. If he's willing and able to keep going, then why not?

The Albertyn fiasco was in 2008 when the market crashed. A bunch of people lost their asses on that deal. He left for KTM long after that.

My great grandpa worked till he was 90, said he needed something to do. He did take a 2 month break every winter and drove his RV to Port Aransas.

Roger is so lucky to be able to love what he does and being pretty good at it too....so why the hell would he want to quit or retire? No one better than he is and his knowledge base has to be unbelievable. Good for Roger and for KTM/Husky?Gas Gas. Pretty sure he was a good investment for the company.

If you love what you do it doesn’t seem like work. Good for him and wish him continued success as long as he wants to work. Myself I could not wait till I retired at 62 😄

The man can do whatever the fuck he wants period. I wish I could enjoy myself at work as much as he does when I reach his age.

At the top level, everything counts. He proved a hundred times that he is a huge asset. It is as exciting to see this news as a transfer from a top rider.

The Nikki Lauda (rip) of motocross. The Man is a Legend and I hope to see him around a lot longer.

As for the money....we all need a bit more than we have.

Ktm is smart.... if he wants to stick around, you keep him. He turned them into winners, just like he did with Honda & Suzuki.... A guy like Decoster should be able to leave on his own terms after what he did for them. It’s called respect.

It isn't a joke that he still may need the money... I would doubt that he does... but he has lost some serious scratch to bad dealios along over the years....

What was the Albertyn fiasco?

Don’t give two shits about a man’s finances. Glad he’s sticking around. He has the Midas touch when it comes to moto.

What would you rather have? Millions or a career that very few can touch? Yeah you can have both, but you’re looking at 1 in 100 million.
