Did you know Dean Wilson runs a wider seat to be able to grip the bike with his legs easier.
Never seen that before.. would love to try it myself.

Yea someone else did that and ping showed it when he shows the “parts and pieces” on the bikes behind the motos in the pits. Cant remember who, it may have been Deanos factory Husky. Those videos are some great content tho.

Guts makes one for the Yamaha you can buy now. Keefer tested it on his site.

Nothing new. You should check the Pitbits every once in a while.

He's been running one for a couple years. Guts Racing can probably build you one like his. Tongue

I have SDG do my custom "fat" seat. It is about 1 INCH wider PER SIDE. Yes...THAT fat. They told me that they build similar seats for a number of top pros..BB is one who likes a fat seat. It totally changes how you can grip the seat/bike.

Seat Concepts makes a wider seat for those who don't want the sewn in ribs tearing their butt to pieces! High quality stuff...

I added some to my stock seat just to see how it would be. I only added it to the back because I was worried it would get in the way when I’m trail riding and need to be able to let the bike move around, but I wanted something to grip on the track. It helps a little bit, but I think doing it like Dean has his would help more grip wise. Either way it wasn’t really that hard to do, the concept is the same either way if you’re doing it at home.
