The kid just tells it like it is. I've never really heard him make an excuse. He always puts the blame right where it needs to be when it doesn't go his way. On himself.

His answer to Erin Bates "stir the pot bs" was awesome. She's always trying to get riders to bitch and moan about this or that and Dean was way above the BS Erin tries to pull. He just said straight up "Hats off to Canard. He wanted to win more than I did so he went for it". I'm liking that kid more every day.

X2 on liking the kid more and more. I was impressed with his composure. You could tell he was really bummed on the box.

The kid is a superstar in the making. I hope. At least in the Lites class. But he's already mature beyond his age regarding fielding interview questions from Mr. Bates.

Good for him. Humbleness rules. The other concept doesn't seem to work in the long run.

Dean is pure moto. Happy just to be here. And he kicks ass. Wish the US riders felt the same way and could back it up with fighting for the win not 3-10 place. The class of the 250's is pure GP riders. Thanks to Trey for saving face for the US on Independance Day.

What's up with her? Wilson was a class act up there, start to finish and then she turns it around and goes negative. The kid handled it great. Very humble.

Agreed. Lazy journalism at best. Great to see Wilson raise above it.

Its called good sportsmanship and class, and other racers should take note.

On another note I really am impressed with Tyla Rattray, he didnt 'settle' for second but went WFO for first overall, unfortunately he crashed, but he crashed while trying to wrestle first place overall from Trey Canard, and that was honorable.

I thought the exact same thing when I heard his interview....a lot of riders would of said he took a cheap shot or this and that....rubbin is racing and it always has been and I am sure it will be for a long time. Dean is a great kid and I am really pulling for him. His comments on his race made me respect him all the more!! It was a great race and battle.

Pourcel has a complete moto and a little more in hand. It's a nice cushion.

Quit blaming Erin and blame the producer feeding her the questions over her radio headset. This has been discussed to death, the tv producers call the shots.

What I liked about the interview is that Mr Wilson welcomes good hard aggressive racing and that he not only expects it but is willing (as we have seen) to give it right back. No doubt he will ramp up the intensity and competition in the years to come.

If Erin hadn't asked that question, you'd all be bored to death with his Dunlop tires that hooked up and got him up the water truck lane and his Parts Unlimited sponsors for footing the bill.

The producers aske the right questions and you finally got the right answer instead of the usual lame excuses.

Be glad you get to see the races and the interviews. Do I need to tell you how long we used to have to wait to hear Larry Meyers ask stupid questions?

I am Dean Wilson fan. What a nutty year he's had this year and super talented indoors and out! I am however very pleasantly surprised how consistent hes been up front on tracks hes never seen before.

I'm pretty sure from what I've heard and read that you will see Deano teamed up with Tommy Searle, and McKensie (sp?) or Simpson..Sorry Eh..

The kid is Scottish. If I was born in California and lived there 8 years with my two California born parents then moved to France and lived there 5 years I'd still be American.

Canadians need to start getting over it now. You can't call a kid a little Scottish boy until he's successful. Then once successful call him Canadian.

Is Pourcel retiring? Going back to Europe? Is Dungey retiring? Why won't Pourcel have a shot?

Oh that's right, UK is a French hating redneck, I forgot. Glenn Beck told him to hate the French.

Deano is pretty funny as well. He had a great little segment on the webcast at RedBud.
