Ricky Carmicharl dropped the 19’ Daytona track map today. This is the only track map that was not released yet, because Daytona is a separate event than the rest of the rounds.

Its literally ALL 180* turns which will make for great passing and that one rythm section is huuuuuuuge. Back to back whoop sections, also theyre after the first turn which is gonna be nuts, one of them is sand too. Then in the middle of that enormous rythm section theres back to back whoop sections there too separated by a wall jump. Track looks nuts.

I actually saw it the other day when looking at track maps (either Monday or over the last weekend). I think he could have done a better job with the track layout and I think there are too many jumps, Daytona is no longer a hybrid track with that design.

An over-under would be epic at Daytona.

Is that a wall jump finish line? Could make for some interesting finishes if its close.

Finish line is a double. Wall is between the whoop sections.

You say its no longer a hybrid track, and too many jumps, but you want an over under?? What am I missing here?

The dark mound before the finish line and just after the dragon's back is indeed another wall.

Theres no hills or off cambers here lol its a flat patch of grass. Its a “hybrid” in that it has long lap times, much more room, sand, and gets rough. The track is gonna be a monster.

Just think about rippin a huge triple right out of a 180 turn, landing into a whoop section, skimmin those bad boys and having to slow down to scrub a wall jump, landing from that right into another whoop section which the last one launches you to flat, then you jump right into a full rythm section , having to rip through some staggered rollers for the last quarter of the section too... beeeast mode.

***Id love nothing more than to see Baggett send ittt into that whoop section full speed into the wall jump and jump from the wall clearing over the second whoop section to flat or at least very far...

Finish line looks like dragons back, to wall, to finish, to back to back whoop sections of opposite terrain.

Daytona sx always seems to have great racing. It's the only truly enjoyable sx race, imo.

When i refer to a hybrid i think of daytona in the 90s or early 2000s. An sx layout maybe but not so many jumps.

The only reason i recommended an over-under is because of the layout this year. I have liked the layout in the past and ovviously they are limited on space.

I dont think one over-under automatically makes a track a supercross, despite the fact that i have only seen them in sx. It just gives a track, whether indoors or out, something different and more options.

Looks like a lot of jumps. On a track like this I think there should be at least one decent straigt or sweeper where they can let it eat.

Interestingly enough, there are only 6 turns on the whole track.

They still running 20 minutes (sub 20 laps)? The first year of 20min+1 SX they still kept Daytona at 20 laps... Would like to see that again!

Is there a set of whoops right after the start? Seems like a terrible idea.

I think less jumps and more turns would make track more interesting. Usually there isn't much passing done in jump filled straights

I like it, the long rhythm lanes offer good passing opportunities, it won’t be easy to nail that section perfectly every lap..

I think this will provide for much better racing than last year’s track. No more blip throttle-90 degree turn-blip-90 etc. which is good.

Like someone else mentioned it reminds me of straight rhythm a bit! Depends on how it races of course but I like this layout more than the past few for sure.

The 2 little whoop sections after the start will get so chewed up they wont even resemble whoops or ride like whoops

Daytona Straight Rythm. Ridiculous.
The only sx race worth watching is lost.
Can't wait for MXGP and the Nationals.
