Didn't I read that there was no Race Day Live today for this round??? Pretty sure it's mentioned in the Daytona sticky link and that about an hour or two you'd be able to catch some of the last qualifying with the Fox sports go app or something to that nature

“Daytona is not a Feld event, so no Race Day Live today. But, you will be able to watch second qualifying sessions starting at 3:40 p.m. EST right here on Racer X Online. FS1 will have live coverage beginning at 7 p.m. EST.”

So we’ll have to wait and see what that entails.

Are the expanded metal launch pads being used today, and, along those lines, could a tire be developed that hooks up better on said steel?

The tire thing has been discussed before. No point in developing a tire for something that lasts all of 2 seconds before hitting the dirt. Just wouldn't make sense.
