Daytona SX

When was the Daytona SX changed to a night race and why? And wasn't the track long and rougher years ago?

Daytona has been neutered for sure. It is still unique but at one time it might have been the single toughest race of the year in MX or SX. I would like to see how Herlings and Carolli would have stacked up back then!
