First trip to florida to ride for me - looking forward to it. Spending about 10 days in FL wrapping it up at DITD.

Either a scoop or mid soft will be fine for the DITD event. My preference there is a mid soft unless the weather looks like some rain then I use a scoop.

I've always used a mid soft at Dade City with no complaints.

I couldn't help but laugh last year with everyone putting brand new tires on just to completely torch them on the pavement part....I came down with old tires, and finished burning them out at DITD (at least on Friday practice since it was cancelled after Friday).

Scoop tire will do well on the pavement

I was ready to kill someone last year. No sleep in 48 hours and a ton of bike repairs after practice, as im putting the last bolt onto the bike the word starts to buzz around the pits that the event was cancelled and we had to leave the grounds. luckily that changed to had to leave in the morning.

I get it that no one knew for certain what was going on at that time but man i was pissed. i had called before getting on the road and was told 100% race will go on.

practice was a blast though, just bummed we didn't get to race the father/son race.

I was there last year too - You do realize it was the Police that shut it down, right? That and all other events and gatherings in the state, organizers were powerless to stop them.

Yea it sucked the law shut it down because of the covid crap. Fortunately I was able to race the friday teams race and scored a cool race bib before it was canceled. Already signed up and looking forward to it.

I will be there! Leave the scoop at home. What little bit of sand is on the track right now doesnt outweigh the street and roots sections. It will be a good time this year.

FYI last year wasn’t canceled. It was 2020 when Covid was just ramping up when it was canceled.
