I left the "day parking" lot with a few minutes to go in the last moto (the lot just North of the Leap). I had to have the Tundra in 4WD and still barely got out...it was pretty nasty on the hillside. Just curious how much of a mess it ended up being in once the motos actually ended and everyone swarmed to their cars? I'm guessing plenty of fender benders, plenty of stuck vehicles, and hopefully plenty of dozers/skid steers on standby haha

Its a disaster. The dozer cleared one row and has been sitting since. It"s all up to us to get each other out and almost every vehicle needs help. Didnt seem like a lack of employees around to collect $30 per car, now that thousands of cars are stuck we are on our own.

I am talking about the back lot.

Yes, the west lot. Not for teams or anything, they go somewhere else. It's just the second, lesser known lot that is faster to get out of on a normal raceday.

Actually for the conditions I thought they handled it pretty good. I got my rental car out. Exiting the parking lot is rarely entertaining but in this case it was a riot. Other than a few stuck vehicles I didn’t see any major calamities.

My dad and I walked around and mapped out some good lines and got right out...it was close a few times but he kept his momentum up and made it.

I’m worried about getting in tomorrow. No way is it going to dry up out there and those lots are a mess.

Was there, and don’t see how the parking lot can be saved. Tru to mudder form it’s badddd. Who shuttled from fair grounds? That may be my only option.

We got stuck behind a few 2 wheel drive cars for a bit, but other fans helped push them out. Even 4 wheel drive was slick and slimy. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow...

My 4 wheel drive did fine. Looks like some dork came to the races unprepared

I'm typing this from my camper in lot B. Everyone around me is worrying about getting their campers out tomorrow. Fortunately I'm not leaving until Monday morning. Hoping it dries out some by them.

I heard that a lot of the extra land the Ritchie's leased for parking for this race is unusable, which is making the parking situation even worse.

Kind of reminds me of a Hangtown national quite a few years ago. First moto - no rain. 2nd moto - rained like a SOB. Cars parked on the hillsides started to slide toward the bottom as soon as they moved. I’m not sure that some cars made it out ‘til the next year. From all the beer cans overflowing from the the trash cans, I don’t think that anyone cared.

How many Rental Cars are people going to be paying extra for, bring it back muddy and they say you had it OFF Road.

It remembers me of the Grand Prix of Belgium in Grobbendonk, damn what a mess it was there on the parking lot. And my mom and dad who took us kids to the race, just bought a new car two days before that event and the car want total covered in mud. On the way home people started to wave to us and stuff like that just because our car looked like it did a muddy version of baja. Old memories are the best Grinning

We left at end of day and were parked B lot on a nice patch of grass - however when we off that dry piece of land - it was all over. Stuck/buried/not moving - till two guys from France came and pushed us out - thank you thank you!
