Bum deal. They didn't even get it on camera.

This happened directly in front of me and I can tell you that he hit the ground extra harrrrrd. He bounced off of his chest and I'm telling you I felt the thud in the stands. If I can remember correctly, he blew up his bike on the face of the triple and dead sailored in the air... came up short nose down and just wrapped around the peak of the landing with both hands still on the bars.

The KTM guys ran out like a bunch of Tasmanian devils and swooped up the remains of the bike as fast as possible.

That happened right in front of me and I was staring at the triple. It was my first supercross and I always wondered who it was.

Pingree has said, KTM put a new type of piston in his bike that hadn't been tested.

2:20 minute mark guys !

Nasty crash, glad that Ping didn't get hurt in that one. That spectacular crash didn't build KTM reputation over the pond for sure !

Scottie I saw I had made that error after I had posted it but I did not see how to fix it. How do you edit the title after you submit a post?

Damn, James was flying on that 125! Like you haven't heard that before! Did you see him doing that quad? I don't think the 250's were doing that. I remember DV making a comment about this race and James doing that quad back then.

I wonder if coming short on the first lap caused a small fracture. And then of course when his engine blew and he was short again... Definitely scary. I haven't seen that one in a long time.
