Almost unbelievable what he's doing. Who's onboard? I think Weege and Grant are driving it.
If you would've asked me at the beginning of the year whether I thought Marty would be fighting for podiums in the 450 class, I would've told you that it would be a shlong shot.
I'll give him some props. Been so long for him. Let him bask in his results and hold his head up high.
I thought he was going to race his entire career in 3rd place of the 250 class. Glad to see him doing good.

I'm impressed, fo sho. He looked like the real deal today.
But....he is racing for a ride next year and doesn't have a contract inked yet (unless I missed something). More support for the proposition that contracts should be incentive-based, imo.

I'm in, I thought he was going to be an underdog, I was wrong !! Glad to see him doing well and I don't think many are left laughing. He's proven.
There's something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear.
Great turn around career wise, from all the 250 class "old guy sandbagger" crap to dong offer social media train wreck....the past years have been a rough up and down ordeal.
To a solid podium and confidence builder for the last few rounds.
He has always been more of a SX specialist, wonder if Husky would consider keeping him on the 450 for 2018 SX and see what he can do?

G.L. was so close to saying that on the broadcast...
He looked great all weekend. Start of that second he was hauling. He has great flow on a 450.
He's put in a lot of work to get "30+2" figured out on a 450.
He should be proud
Nobody ever told me, I found out for myself. You've got to believe in foolish miracles. It's not how you play the game, it's if you win or lose. You can choose. Don't confuse. Win or lose. It's up to you!
Always felt he would be a really solid 450 guy. To me it always looked and sounded like he was over riding the 250 when he has a more technical style. Which causedca lot of his crashes. I feel like the smoother riding style he has is perfect for 450.
I always root for him and I think this success on a 450 outdoors will be good for his program heading into 250 SX next year where I think he may get back to championship contender level.
I would love to see him on a 450 indoors. I wonder if Rockstar Husky would consider it since they have some younger 250 guys coming in
I really like that Marty D is out riding and looking for the future. But let's be real for a minute if we can also. The 450 class is really watered down right now for sure. Guys like AP 23 have to be really ready to make the next move to show what they have.
I'm on for the ride... he's been very impressive this summer.

Seems like Martin is doing what guys like Justin Barcia still can't figure out how to do after 10-years of riding the small bikes...keep the momentum up on the 450 like you would ride a 250, but lug the bike letting the torque do the work...instead of revving it to the moon. I didn't think he'd do this well so soon...but he's proving a lot of people wrong, I guess.

His back is against the wall. Earn a premium ride with what few motos remain in '17, or find a new profession. A whole lot of top level riders have failed to show just how bad they want one of the few spots available, Martin has done what was needed to most likely land a solid ride.
I wasn't a fan after his social media issues, but I am firmly on his bandwagon now. All of us have made big mistakes in life, good to see him have the internal strength to take his riding to the next level after the dust settled.
