Hopefully mitch see's something in the guy...over the years it seems like he can't close anything. Every year you see him run up front or leading and me and my buddies are like ok its not if its when does he go down? and sure enough everytime he wads up. I remember him eating $hit pretty hard on the triple at the 1st L.A. supercross in practice after throwing down a super fast lap?
Also has seemed to have some really good rides in his day and has never delivered??

What are some reasonable expectations out of the guy?

Super talented. There's no doubt about it but I don't expect different results from him.

I really dont know what to expect out of Davalos. He definitely had the speed last year but he was extremely unconsistent. I would love to see the guy make the podium a few times and maybe even get a win or two, but will see when supercross begins.

I expect to see him win some heat races. Lol

If he doesn't win a lot this year it's probably time to polish up his non-moto resume.

Davalos has THE worst luck. (well maybe 2nd worst to Dunge)
Tons of talent. Always finishes way below his potential.

But we can look at it this way? How many guys are consistent with Mitch only to never see those result after leaving PC? This might be the opposite with Davalos? Maybe he has everything but that last little kick of confidence/motivation/fear to disappoint that Mitch brings to a rider?

I would love to see Davalos rise to his capability!

I was surprised to hear Martin got a ride at PC, but I bet Mitch knows what he's doing.

Dungey has bad luck?

Also I don't think Davalos problem isn't luck. It's not being able to close the deal in a main event. He did state in his interview that he acknowledges this is his last shot.

PC picked up Justin Hill not Martin.

I think he will be better mentally which has always been his biggest
set back. If Mitch cant fix it, he's toast. not to mention, How F'n long
is he gonna ride the lites bike?? I mean come on.

Under the PC Kawi rig how can the expectation be anything less than title contention?

Dungey = 3 titles not won from 1 broken chain, 1 empty tank, 2 bent shifters.

If anything is going to turn around a riders career, it is a ride with Pro Circuit. I think he will do very well next year on that bike.

This is his fourth different brand bike, he is overrated and I expect the same results from him as the past.

The expectations are "he must win." The guys has always had the speed. Something has been missing. I have often wondered if maybe it was just his preparation. The first thing I thought when I heard PC picked him up was, "that doesn't seem very smart." Second thing was, "maybe Mitch knows something we don't (ya think)." Third thing, "this is it for Davalos." He's got no excuses now.

No Dr. Phil here, but seems like Martin has a case of : "Fear Of Success".

Hopefully Mitch's program will help Davalos put it all together. He does have the speed.

Very good point Dane, and yeah that is a shame. Pro Circuit have had numerous riders on their team over the years who have really taken their career to another level, or even won a championship once they got on to a Pro Circuit bike. I think Davalos could be one of those guys. As for Durham, I really wanted him to do well this year, but yeah it wasn't really there.

How is he overrated? Nobody said he was top 3 or one of the best. He has demonstrated that he has the speed to run in the front. How is he overrated again?

Super talented for sure, I hope he can be consistent this year!
