I was reading racerhead 10 and Matthes mentioned Damon's race at Daytona on a 125 for factory connection. what year was this? i would like to see that one

Are you refering to the race where he crashed twice and still smoked everyone? If so it was 1989 on a YZ125.

wow; i had totally forgotten. and that miami race was sweet to watch. a sx track made out of what looked like just straight up beach sand. those ruts reminded me of pontiac and seattle sx rounds. way to sketchy for me

In 2001 I believe he rode practice and ended pulling out before the heats after realizing he was not fully prepared to race at that level.

Wow! I didn't know he made a come back in 2001, kinda weird but cool seeing him in more modern mx gear and bike etc.
