Most people don't know the story about why he got beat at the Coliseum in '92. The race got postponed due to the LA riots, so they ran it after the nationals had started. Damon had a bad crash at Gatorback (I think) and tore up his knee super bad. Then LA sx was after that, and he was hurt. He didn't choke like most people think. It's a shame because had he won that title, I don't think he would've burned out and quit.

Hey so pretty much everyone knows that story... He told it on the pulp podcast. I prefer the conspiracy theory that he didn't want his contract to auto-renew.

Also, have you guys noticed how often he mixes up colorways of gear

Cleaning out some stuff at my parent's house last couple weeks. Found a stack of posters and this mint gem was in them.

Also have the Emig and Dubach posters as well.

While I am biased as a Bradshaw fan, I would have to say that's one of the coolest moto pics I've ever seen.

Love these old pics. Brings back a lot of good memories. Maybe I was too young to notice back when, but I'm noticing his footing position is really more torwards his toes in most of these pics. Looks like it helps him lean forward and allows him to be in an aggressive attack position. However, braking and shifting would require more movement... ahh I'm probably thinking to much into it. If anything it makes me appreciate him even more seeing his technique and unique riding style. Love this thread.

I remember a test of one of his bikes that either DIrt Bike or MXA did (pretty sure it was DCool . Among other quirks, they said that he ran his rear brake pedal way above the foot peg, the clutch arm on the engine was shortened so it would snap harder at engagement, and power and suspension were brutal. Bradshaw related that he wanted a bike that basically punished him for loafing and rewarded going fast...true badass.
