There a couple of similar photos in the race and practice threads from last week. Have to do something to keep the lap times over 45 seconds or we prob wouldn't see this type of obstacle.

Man I love these walls they've been putting in. It's a technical obstacle that isn't ridiculously dangerous.

We don't need multiple walls per track. But I'm A-OK with seeing a nice tall/steep wall on every track.

Last year there was a jump like that at Daytona... In the middle to right part of the track... I don't think anyone pulled the trigger. Or maybe they couldn't because they put a banner there.. Not sure

There's been a couple of years of those at Daytona: I love it too but it's gnarly! It seems like a recipe for disaster.

He's just showing off. He's just a washed-up, has-been, shoulda-woulda-coulda, rider anyway. In fact, that's probably photoshopped, huh?

I'm really digging that Fasthouse gear. Clean lines, solid colors, easy on the eyes.

Has anyone ever stood on the floor at the Xgames and looked at the step-up jump? Now that's a freaking wall! On tv or in the stands, it doesn't look that gnar, but standing in front of it is insane. I was only on the floor there once and I was thinking, "no way would I hit that".

I think it would be cool if they made a really steep step-up. Keep the lip like the one in the picture and then add a landing about 10' higher.

Stewart has the right idea on how to use those worthless walls. Like I've said on another post, the 2 huge walls in a row at Daytona last year were really cool. You came off a straight away pinned into the first wall then slow down to scrub it into the canyon between them and scrub the second one. I remember Peick last year hit it fast, scrubbed, and landed almost on the face of the second one.

But the small annoying wall, especially when they put them around the whoop sections on tracks, really suck and shouldn't be in supercross. The whoops already separate guys, not like they used to because of their 20" depth limit on whoops. They need to bring back whoops that scare the riders and put some hair on their chest when they blitz them. They never used to be able to jump whoops as often as they do nowadays. They're just too small now. Before you COULDN'T jump through them, and if you did you were going over the bars.

*Musquin came off that wall last weekend and jumped 5 whoops in. NEVER could you do that with the whoop sections of yesteryear.

That would be a LOT of dirt but at least with Daytona, they have dirt to spare.

I enjoying seeing the "Walls". Keeps speeds down and racing close.
Seems to be challenging for even the top guys. Vital making a Mountain out of a Wall...

Does ATL typically have a wall? I remember RV2 wrecking on it a few years back when I attended

I realize that you are probably using hyperbole to emphasize the manliness of the "tough guys" of yesteryear with your 20" depth limit (paging Michael Scott), but I think you're being a bit ridiculous. We have seen some pretty deep whoops this year.

Walls are fine as long as there not overused. It's still pretty fun watching these guys soak it up and get there momentum going again.Pictures always show how much body english it takes to tackle one of them,t.v. not so much.

I stole it, and reversed it, from an off season race, cant remember which one, where the gate was up on a 10 ft mound. Seemed to sort them out a little before the first turn.
