Whoop section right after the first turn.
The Shop
No problem.
Girly riders should stay home where it's safe.
I guess RV is a 'girly rider'.
“We had a set of whoops right after the start and that makes it a little bit hairball, along with another set right into a triple,” said Villopoto. “I wouldn’t say it was the greatest idea, but a holeshot makes your life easy and you stay out of those mistakes.

How about one of these after the holeshot?
Pit Row
I have personally seen it happen time and time again with these particular circumstances, triples and whoops right out of the gate. I have even made it a point to watch for these situations, like a freaking racing detective.
Triples and whoops create a bad racing situation out of the first turn, besides the possibilty for major carnage. They can actually separate the field too much right out of the gate. Often only the first rider, or first few riders, are able to do the obstacle correctly, blitz the whoops or triple the triples. The rest of the field is left to tip toe thru the section while the lucky few race away. Maybe that is racing, but I am looking for ways to provide the best racing possible.
I have seen guys get the holeshot and clear the triple while 2nd place is unable to do it for whatever reason, and the rest of the 18 guys behind him can't do it either. Same with the whoops. The first few guys get thru cleanly and the rest are left rolling them because of the large amount of riders in the area at the same time.
I simply believe that 2 rhythm section lanes right off of the start would allow the race to better unfold in most circumstances.
Anyone??? Anyone???

Should we just eliminate starts altogether?
