Just a few days out from the most bad ass off road race of the year!
Who you guys got for the win on bikes?
Price just had wrist surgery...
Can Walkner do it again?
Can somebody dethrone KTM finally?
The race is going to be 80% on dunes.
I'll pick Sunderland to take it on bikes.
I know SX is kicking off, but I also know lots of guys here follow Dakar!

Ricky Brabec, Andrew Short, Skyler Howes...anybody on bikes I missed?
Robby Gordon is back in the Cars after 2 years off.
Former bike stage winner and North West bad ass Jonah Street is co driving a car on Gordon's team.
I think also, Jonah Street has been displaced from the three 'vehicle' team that RG is running / involved with.

I wish Lyndon Poskitt was racing again, his daily videos last year were some of the best coverage out there.
His postings were fantastic, and he and his crew did a great job.
It's pity he's not doing it again this year, but it truly is a very time consuming, very dangerous, very expensive thing to do.
As for RG. I might be completely wrong, as when I went looking for what a Textron XX was, on my crappy little 'phone, I came up with Side by Side Tests and comparisons.
Maybe they make / they've made bigger versions / or Buggies / Truggies? The pictures on his website and Facebook site look like somewhat 'big' SXSs. I don't know how you'd think you'd be in with a chance at winning in the open / outright categories in an SXS, so it would seem that they couldn't be SXSs.
He's a bit of a character, is RG. A Ratbag, or Yobbo, is how many here in OZ would think of him. He certainly attracts a fair mixture of adulation, and, criticism. It takes all types to have this World of ours, so, good on him for having another go. He's sure to offer up a (fair) bit of 'entertainment'.
As always, I hope All competitors stay safe and healthy. It's a fearfully difficult, and dangerous event.
The Shop
Ricky & Andrew exchanging Stage Wins ALL THE WAY to the finish!
I'm whishing for a safe, fast and fun "Dakar".
Surprised nothing come up on here before.
And you know why?
'Cause, it's on Vital!
Pit Row
I just saw a few things on IG the other day about it.
Maybe someone just posted misinformation from one of these weird moto sites with fake news. Like this one;
Short Injured
Seems like the used Jarvis as a replacement cause they thought everyone would know it's a joke by how ridiculous that is.
If Honda can play the team game like KTM does they will have a better chance of taking down KTM.
One brand standard tyres for all elite riders: One spec tire for ALL riders
No mechanics anymore: Terrible idea!! Malle Moto is not the spirit of the race. Even the guys with support are absolutely drained at the end of the stage
Digital roadbook without long preparation: Interesting if they could be be close to fail proof. Would need to be highlighted in some fashion to be legible at speed
Speed-Limit: 96mph is quick in the dirt but why punish good technology/equipment and good riders?
Less fuel stops: Is this to encourage mileage consciousness?
Rant over
Brabec on the podium both days so far.
