With Jason and Zack out and Dean being sick, I will be curious if they will bring in another 450 rider?

Not a top 10 with that field.

He has to take time off to fully recover. It's a slow process.

It's been said that the same drugs that cure a certain virus work for EBVirus. Most likely a parasite.

Ivermectin, Hydroxycloroquine and mega dose vitamin C/zinc. Go to your Tractor Supply and look for de-wormer...

I am not a doctor, but millions have taken these drugs safely.

After talking to about a dozen different dr's and any "expert" in EBV, this is the first I've heard of this. My biggest concern was making sure my guy played within the rules of WADA and the USADA and every single one said that time was the most effective treatment. There is currently no cure for EBV, once you have it you are susceptible to getting it again more easily.

You're probably right. No need to waste $4 to try something that works overnight and is proven safe. It's only 6 months and a lifetime of re occurences.

If you're truly interested, try straight Pomegranate or Tart Cherry juice. Can't hurt trying... Might even keep you cancer free.

I wonder how many regular guys, who race, train, work on their own bikes and have day jobs have had EBV and just keep grinding away....

How about a little bleach and some ultra violet light treatments? Many people are saying that’s very effective. His best option would be waiting it out. July and August are really hot months and heat heals all when it comes to viruses. I heard from some very smart people, the best people that the virus just disappears in the summer. If he just waits it out he should be good by Sept. 1st. No WADA treating him badly or a low energy AMA witch-hunt to deal with and it costs nothing. If it does, we will get “insert responsible country for said viruses origin” to pay for it. He will have a fabulous fall season.

Statistically, the vast majority of people. That said, I wouldn't compare the performance requirements of grinding away at even a manual day job, to competing at a professional level in an endurance sport.

If I was a betting man I would expect to see Benny Bloss on a Rockstar Husky at some point. He's the best available 450 outdoor rider, and he has vast experience on the Austrian bikes. Perfect fit.

You do know those have been proven to work right?

About nine out of ten of adults have antibodies that show that they have a current or past EBV infection.

They are just guessing.

Ascorbic acid has been shown to kill various cancer cell lines at pharmacologic concentrations. We found that Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive Burkitt lymphoma (BL) cells were more susceptible to ascorbic acid-induced cell killing than EBV-negative BL cells or EBV-transformed lymphoblastoid cells (LCLs).

Ascorbic Acid, yep Vitamin C.

White blood cells in the body naturally produce HOCl (hypochlorous acid) from salt consumed from normal eating (so don't go out and eat a bunch of extra salt people). That's one of the mechanisms the body naturally uses to fight off infection via white blood cells. When bleach is added to water, it produces HOCl. So in essence, the body is already doing this. Same chemistry.

I swear the amount of riders I've seen come down with "food poisoning" or get sick specifically with EBV is astonishing. I'd never even heard of EBV until a few years back following MX/SX. The whole food poisoning is also a head scratcher. I'm 50 years old and have only had food poisoning once in my entire life and that was when working in central China eating Brazilian BBQ and had some under cooked sausage........Lesson learned. Always drink scotch or Whisky before bed when traveling in China.....

He needs to ride out the series. This could be his last one with a factory ride. Try to enjoy it.

I heard Mitchell Harrison will be on husky the rest of the year. Don’t remember which podcast said it but one of them did.

Shiiiit…I’d bring *Pettis down from Canada and tell him…

“Hey, you’re starting early and there’s a US Supercross ride in it for ya if you finish the year in the top 10. Oh, and, we’ve got a helluva a bonus program! Suit up. Your gear is over there. It ain’t orange. Good luck.”

*=Why Pettis? He’s on the sorta-same bike. He deserves a shot…and…
1. I wanna leave Dylan on his Honda.
2. Marco needs to give us another year on his YZ…and…hell…I’m just a stupid f’ing yank…what do I know?
Hell…
Put T’Dags on ZachO’s bike. No changes. No adjustments…just let The Damn Trailer Park Boy RIDE!!!
And Stand Back.

I’m not wrong.

I disagree I talked with a warehouse supervisor at Sysco. In 38 yrs of employment he seen over 30 nfl players fail to do the job. Even body builders can’t finger print , lift 44k of food cases out of the truck down the ramp. 700-900 lbs on a dolly up 2,3 flights of stairs. Then unload and organize it in a cold storage room. 88-98 working on the worlds strongest hhg rig, world war 2 guys in 91 . Told me back it down kid we didn’t attack that hard in war. Mx is a cardio sport, there is no way any rider could handle a physical trucking job , etc. movers that put a freezer or fridge on there shoulder and walk in the house. We respect the riders for putting in the cardio work to race 30 min. But a 7 day grind is rough too, everyone is working with injuries and finding a way to be there. At work. 7 nights a week 12 hr shifts 4 weeks straight with a 90 or 110 lb hack hammer. 6,4 native hvy weight boxer who fought on espn who still trained for boxing. next to me. In 2.5 hrs without stopping where only 3/4 in deep. The concrete is like iron, it’s hard work. But honestly it’s boys play compared to trucking jobs.

I know Pro Moto athletes are some of the gnarliest on earth.... but how come football, soccer, basketball, and even Olympic athletes don't come down with EBV? With how common it is in moto you would think it would be a household name among other sports.

Sure. I agree that physical work can be extremely difficult, maybe even too grueling for pro athletes.

That's not the issue. The issue is that for professional athletes showing up just a few percentage points off of your best at your specialty can lose you enough positions to put you out of a job against other professional specialists, whereas in a more steady working environment you just may go home that much more tired.

Because they don’t have a year round grind reaching 90-95% max heart rate multiple times every single week? Most sports have a REAL off season...That would be my guess
