Really good write up as usual from Le Cobra!

I loved his quote regarding beating MM25 WoohooTongue

"You won't beat Marvin by bicycling or by going to the gym doing some weird Ryno exercise with one foot on a ball the other on a toaster oven and lifting a Caterpillar loader tire. You will beat him by beating your practice tracks' times by a second."

He was referencing SX only. Outdoors might be a different story, although I'll be pulling for MM

... and I love how he is brutally honest, doesn't hide behind anything, and doesn't really show any favouritism.

They should let him in the booth every once in a while.

That's the best part about DVs write ups , no favoritism at all.

Not if they keep having tracks like last summer. Mm needs a more technical track for his skill to shine above the others like at

Ex pros make the best journalists on the sport.
Ex Pros that AREN'T still getting checks from sponsors make the best journalists. That is why DV is the boss!

DV is awesome. Love it when he's on Pulp also. He doesn't care who's toes he steps on. Right or wrong he's going to say it how he sees it.

It is funny all the people flipping over tires and lifting weird shit, We call that cleaning up the shop, it's not that fun or worth paying for.

Hahaha. No kidding.

That's what I used to do back when I couldn't afford a gym membership. Now people pay 2-3X a normal gym membership just to push junkyard trash around.

anyway, I love the perspective DV adds. I don't always agree with him but I still love hearing his take. His ability to critique riding technique is amazing.

If Marvin stays healthy, I think he'll have a much more different experience this season.

I like this line in the article. I'm not sure if the JS or J-(S) was intentional but it's a little funny.

I really believe J-Mart has to become J-(S)Mart(er) in SX. Unplugging your brain in SX is never EVER the right thing to do.

Having cleaned out my shop a time or two, tossing out numerous truck tires, I can personally attest to this. Shit, just think, people pay a trainer to teach them this shit, and I could do it for them for free. I need to get on the trainer bandwagon here, at a very reasonable rate.

I used to think the toaster exercise was bullshit too, just like DV, but now that I’ve been doing it for a few months – I pretty much swear by it…

DV is the man....errrr, how bout the The French Man! His columns on PulpMX are the best, and are brutally honest home runs each and every week. I wish he was a full time weekly regular on the Pulp or DMXS show.
