Warranty to these wheels? They have been known to explode on normal riding and square edge bumps.

If the warranty is there, I am interested.

They are good wheels. The bearings suck but you can get some decent bearings from a real world bearing place and they will last long enough to get your moneys worth.

Mine are about 2 years old. They are black with red hubs on a Honda 450. The front rim (only the front, back is still fine) has faded horrible. Looks gold now. They won't warranty then. If you want your bike to look good (and you do or you wouldn't be looking at wheel sets) don't buy DNA. Bearings are garbage also. Not a good experience for me.

I had a set that I moved from 4 different hondas over the years. The rims, hubs and spokes held up really well. The only problem I had with them were the stock bearings and seals were absolutely garbage, I had to replace them with less than 10hrs on them. Also they are probably the heaviest wheelset made. I ended up selling them when I bought a ktm and got half my money back out of them. Now I am back on a honda and got a deal from rad mfg. over christmas that I couldn't turn down so I went with them this time.

This rear was 6 months old, probably had 15 rides on it. Was riding a sand track (Baja Acres) and there was a rock sticking out of rut coming out of a turn. I knew exactly when I did it because it felt like the shock was coming right up through the seat. Anyway, it was never waranteed or replaced. I tried to contact them through email and got no response. Live and learn, my next set of wheels didn't cost $500, but I'm still using them today. Plus, the DNA's seemed really heavy, heavy enough to notice on the track until you got use to them.

One of my riding buddies bought a set last season. They looked nice to begin with, the bearings didn't last half a season, and the spokes had to be adjusted after every ride, no joke, every ride. I taught him how to properly adjust and true them, cause I thought he must have been doing it wrong. They are still in use, but still constantly having to mess with the spokes. I had to replace my wheel set on my current bike, I paid almost the same price for used OEM wheels simply because I didn't want the headache he was having with those wheels. I tend to OJ a lot when I get aggressive, the last thing I want is to flat land with questionable spokes or have that thought in my head constantly.

Maybe he just got a a set with a few bad spokes (at least 25% of them), but when people see him adjusting them every time we come off the track they would tell us about the same experience they had with these wheel sets (maybe they are regurgitating someone else's story, but it happens enough that it stopped me from thinking about buying a set). The bearings have been replaced and I am trying to talk him into letting me unlace them and replace all the spokes, but I think he is at the point where he just wants to get rid of them. I think they would be ok with different spokes and bearings, but that adds at least 100-125 for bearings and another couple hundred for spokes, so your $500 wheel set is now in the $800+ range.
