I am in Temecula and am going to race at Fox Raceway on Sunday but have never been there. I see 2 options to get there on google maps but want to know first hand from someone that has been there which way is realistically the best since that area can get extremely congested due to the casino.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Pala/Temecula Road. Make a left at the stop sign. Make a left at the next stop sign. Make a left at the entrance to the race track.

Which part of Temecula are you located at? If you have to get on the 15 I would say to just keep going south to the 76 east and take it all the way to the track. I don't go on the 79 because I live south of it and I take a side ride where I don't go by the casino on Pechanga Pkwy.

There is only one entrance to Pala. It's on the 76 right across from the Pala Transfer Station. You drive East on the 76 about 2 miles past the casino. You will see signs. It's very obvious.

What type of vehicle? If you are in a truck you can take the Pechanga road down the canyon, it is steep and twisty and a little scenic. I would not bother with even a small trailer. You could get caught up behind slow traffic using 76. Either way you can't really be in a hurry.

When we rode there last year, GPS took us down 15 (we were staying at at Lake Elsinore) on the way back took us back roads back into Temecula, was cool as we got to see a lot of nice senary.

Thanks, it is a Dodge supercab long bed dually with small trailer. I prefer to avoid steep hills and twisty roads so it seems like 15 to 76 is the better route in this case, is this correct?

I Lso dont want to get stuck in horrific traffic where it takes 30 minutes to go 1 mile and would prefer steep hills and twisty roads to that.

Go at 3am, there won't be traffic. Problem SOLVED

ps- 15 to 76 is very easy, just lots of curves so don't go 75mph.

Ill stay home instead of sitting in traffic for an hour or getting up ridiculously early to miss it.

Yes I do, I've been to Pala everyday you can think of. And I've never seen traffic at the casino, even during their big tribe get together when they have all those big fields full of cars and they are playing drums all night.

use google maps app for directions - it uses traffic and will reroute you fastest depending on traffic flow... 2019

One time I got stuck behind an old lady pushing a wheelchair down the middle of the road on her way to the casino.

That's a different casino. Pala is easy.

Just take the 15 instead of the canyon, it's basically the same

I've never run into traffic going to Pala ever.

The National will be a very different story, obviously.

I-15 to 76 if you're pulling a trailer. It's a little longer distance but far easier while towing. If you go the Pechanga Parkway route there's some even sharper corners and a steep downhill on the way to the track.
