we need to mimic the scenario at RedBud (and other tracks/jumps I am sure) where if you DON'T do a jump it actually costs you. This isn't to say making dangerous jumps, I just mean taking away the option to double with a scrub and be just as quick. Today was perfect example with the Leap and Plessi.

I'm all for jump options and unique combinations, but LaRocco's Leap is as big as we need to go; Serious question regarding racer safety:

What happens when the MXdN rolls into town this October and the mix of MX1, MX2, and MX3 riders creates a cause for concern? Many of the Open/MX1 riders will have the juice, certainly, but coming through the pack will be another story. Especially when better positioned first gate picks are given to MX2 racers...

Good point. Mixing 450’s and 250’s of mostly riders who’ve never done Larocco’s leap could be a recipe for additional medical staff.

Cut down the 3rd jump and it's instantly safer.

guys, i never said make ANY jump/s bigger. The National series has lots of big jumps...Imo you need to make these jumps that are already existing a difference in time...even if it is .5 seconds. You downside the jump you make up time...that simple.

This DOES NOT endorse bigger or less safe jumps, you can build them so coming up short is not career ending or even race ending, but you need to lose time if you double or case....AND, it still needs to give an advantage to the rider who completes the jump...

Why? There are some pretty big jumps on GP tracks.
