Check out the LL Mx page. It's nice to see positives every once in a while. Especially with this crew! Also, there is many of the same compliments for this guy in the tagged picture.

Don't turn it douchey. I don't know if that person had an agenda, but clearly a lot of people had good things to say of him.

it's nice to see someone get recognized for working their ass off.

find out who He is, I'll send him some $ without trying to shame someone else into it.

Don't think he meant it "douchy". My interpretation of what dbovin was saying was that if the right person was to read this, "hint hint", he (DC) is fully capable of doing something nice for the flagger.

thank you for translating for the others. yes that exactly what i meant. maybe DC can just let him know everyone noticed him working his tail off. good flagger is a thankless job most of the time.

and thanks for the sweet pic that became my avatar. I know newmann loves it now....and my world is complete.

He was also flagging at High Point. He ran the finish line section during am day. Was certainly a true professional!

I have to confess.. I feel bad saying this. But that exact moment you were talking about, I was thinking to myself "the kid next to her HAS to be her kid..." :D

The funny thing, my wife and I had to rewind the race and double take the whole thing, the woman petrified me. This was before dboivin made it his avatar. Call me shallow.. I can take it. Was funny in the moment though.

nice to see someone actually take a serious job very seriously.

the pay prolly ain't too much but dude took pride in his work and his duties of keeping riders safe.

Make him a fulll time flagger at the nationals.
Not feasible due to cost. Until it is DC will act on it. Or atleast that's similar to what he said in another thread in the last month.

That flagger is what the pro nationals need.

Full time flaggers, it has already been explained by DC, it is logically a cost issue. If you have 50 more people on the payroll, then how can you pay bonus to the riders ???

Nevertheless it is worth mentionning really talented & committed flaggers. A list of top flaggers could even be started in each state, then the best ones could be invited to events that are close to the Nationals and the Supercross.

In term of payroll, I think a little gas voucher for expenses and a set of signed gear from a rider or anything thrown away by the teams (i.e. plastics) is actually more than what they would hope for, and everyone win. The organizer, because that is no extra costs, the riders/teams for their results/safety, and the flaggers.

A full team of flaggers to travel is cost prohibitive, but 4-5 guys that travel, set up, train and oversee are not...I'm not sure something like this isn't already in place...if not it's a thought...

Kryan5 - I know first hand that Todd Willbrandt did not have any agenda in sending that compliment to the flagger.

dboivin wasn't being douchy......he knows how hard flaggers (the good ones anyway) and all the track guys work. I'm sure it was meant sincerely.

Let the debate about flaggers continue......it is important to the sport.

I am flagging the national Saturday at Unadilla with the S.A.T.R.A. Mx club. I believe having clubs flag is the best approach. Not only do the members ride and race (have raced) they have flagged as a team for many years. We take pride in doing the best job possible to keep the riders safe and present a professional image.
What other nationals have clubs that do the flagging? Hangtown and Budds Creek.
