I hate slot car racing, so I help with the Prep
So zig zag across the track? Everytime I see someone square and b line, I'll say " there's Johnny!"

You might become as famous as bears, cats and peelout

Nothing feels better than coming into a hard left hander high in the berm, locking up the rear brake and sliding in and clutching out over the top of all the ruts underneath.

Nothing feels better when someone opens the inside, tries to cut across every line and gets their front wheel sawed off for the win.

What's your next post? "Do you guys like to get off the track and jump the jumps the wrong way, I do, it's no better feeling!"

I do it playing around but in a race that really isn’t the fastest way around the track.

Try racing a two-stroke in the Vet class where everybody is on 450s. All the lines are tight and on the inside, and I'm blowing around the outside. It's almost like riding a different track.

Are you kidding? That's my usual routine. First I go for the way inside "boot line" as my friends and I call it. Then when that rut gets too deep, I enter the turn outside of the deeper ruts them cut across all of them and exit closer to my original boot line. Lines are constantly changing...."The track is alive!"

Some of you guys must have really hated watching Pourcel and Musquin ride. I love creative lines after the main ruts get bombed out, I thought it was awesome when Villopoto would ride off on the very edge of the track finding the smoothest line possible too

I hate when slow riders are first on the track and create awkward ruts and lines which prevents fast/smooth lines from forming. Guess I should wake my ass up earlier then! hah

We also get a lot of people in Texas who hate ruts or difficult tracks...Vet riders with 13k factory editions can't ride rough or deep tracks and force the track owners to not prep as well.

Do quad guys ever wear shirts? Gotta shoe off the barbed wire and Copenhagen tattoos...

Some work harder, some work smarter. We're finding out who the smart ones and the hard working ones are in this thread.

Through my experience, not using the main line is not a disadvantage. I can keep up with people that are similar speeds with me using my own lines. Of course a pro will blow my doors off using hammered out lines. A competitor of equal skill level? I'll pass you in a few laps when you wear yourself out using tunnel vision and hitting every bump in sight and screwing up in kinked ruts when you get tired.

This thread wasn’t about creative lines. This thread was more about jacking up other people’s lines.

Way different!

My 6 year old hates her 4 year old sister when she does something better than her. It usually ends up with her messing up the game or whatever it is because shes not good at it. Sounds similar.

That is some classic funny Vital think right thereLaughing

How about this?

I can only cut fast laps when I get in a slot car groove, take the training wheels off and I flounder around in the abyss not knowing where to go.I have practiced at the same track so much I could ride it in my sleep. When those other guys mess up my comfort zone I feel like loading up and going home. There's nothing I can do about bad track prep so I just live with it. I rant on my I-phone all day long about not getting everything in life my way.

Snowflake.

Put an Off Road rider on a track and they have an open mind about where to ride, put an MX rider off of a designated safe zone and they are lost.

I would probably be mad if I couldn't ride ruts too.

Shit time to go home

You know, this thread started off funny and amusing. You just outed yourself, though Tongue

Keep it light-hearted, man. I'd love to ride with you someday, though. The event you are promoting this weekend looks great!
