If you keep up with Buttery's films they were out in the hills with Josh Hill one day and Hill said Jr Jackson was trying to get him into AMA Hillclimb.

He then proceeded to shoot up decent climb and the bike just sounded gnarly.

Serious question because I don’t know a lot about rules or engine builds. What part/parts of that build are not legal for AMA MX?

Sounds like my old 2003 CRF450 with a Thunder Alley pipe on it. Totally transformed the bike...and my eardrums.

Bumping an old post because we have nothing better to talk about. Why couldn't This bike be ran in MX? Just noise?

my guess would be it would not be as good out of corners than a usual mx bike, the reason Yamaha run the exhaust around the cylinder is to get length to get bottom end, in flat track and hill climb, thats not as important,

also hanging onto 80hp for 30 min plus 2 would be an issue, its been talked about factory 450s almost being detuned for a while now as the factory's can make them too fast,
