Little bit of an update, did my heat cycles on the bike and didn’t feel any problems with the ecu, I’m working on greasing the chassis and stuff now and putting on a few extra goodies, then going to put a real day of moto in. So far so good with ECU, so don’t believe the hype. RWE seems good thus far!

I just got some twin air filters and their power flow set up that eliminates the backfire screen. I prefer the traditional bolt system over the wire clamp setup .

I’ve heard of them showing up in Oregon and Washington.. I heard from a reliable source that the ship with the bikes on it hasn’t been unloaded due to a covid breakout of the Dock workers in LA.

Not yet. My dealer in San Diego hasn’t gotten an update. My dad has his name on one.

I believe you do. Without the backfire screen I think they use a different material incase of flame getting to filter.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

How many people run regular filters with a redneck removed screen?

Yep it’s supposedly a special non flammable filter. The oem filter won’t work. There’s no hole with a rubber grommet for the bolt.

Depending on how the air filter cages are on the 21s, my 17 cage the screen if you bent some tabs could come off and have no screen. You can run it without special air filter they just have the option of non flammable filters for piece of mind or non flammable air filter oil. Sometimes they could catch on fire just rare if it does happen.

Quick walk around, start up, and putt around on my new 2021 Honda CRF450R Works Edition. Going to be a while before I can ride it at a track as it is too muddy and cold (for me!) in Ohio now. Have putted it around a field and initial impressions are smooth power (KTM like with more excitement), Yoshimura exhaust reasonably quiet, thin ergos with great bar/seat/footpeg relationship, hydraulic clutch feels smooth and though pull effort is reduced still higher than KTM effort, seat is thin and firm. I can notice a little initial slow/rich feeling response to quick throttle inputs at low rpm - not a big deal but I would guess this is the issue some are noticing.

The bike looks amazing in person! Can't wait for a real ride on it hopefully soon!

TDR Motorsports in Ohio has started to develop maps for our bikes. Tim Is very well known in the pro ATV world as
a proven Honda guru. My WE is in his hands. Will report back next week.
