** Rule: Nothing about the sharks and lazers and pits or any other bs**

I seriously think there is room for more creativity in the shaping of dirt mounds. Like there has to be a new obstacle for motocross/sx that could prove to be tricky and awesome. I don't think we've (as a whole ass racing sport) have really experimented past. TableTops - Single - whoops - Triple - Dragon Back - Moguls (Round bumps, Discontinued est 1990 i believe) - Fingers (one lined- discontinued early 90s) etc.

Anyway, Post some Drawings or even just type it up if you have an idea. I'm curious to see what all the years of experience this board has can come up with.

I had my dad build me a double in the middle of a corner growing up. Was always a fun one. Wider on the outside than it was on the inside.

I think we need to look back to when we had mostly the same top guys but for some reason more separation in lap times. Dungey era. Lots of dragons and long rhythm sections. Lots of sketchier jumps to separate the men from the boys. Lots of sand. I wanna see more quads and anderson sending it 6 rollers deep into the sand at vegas.

This years tracks are so basic 22nd place is 1.5 seconds off 1st(exaggerated of course). I think the best thing this years tracks have going for them is more daytona style tracks.

significantly mismatched size/spacing and crooked (height and placement) whoops...maybe with some dimple bumps thrown in.

Honestly....just build a freaking track that can't be duplicated/practiced to death during the week. We'll see a whole lot more passing this way.

Put an off-camber turn in. Just once, let's see what happens.

Yup... I think they did something like in the 80s at Daytona SX. They used telephone poles as the base, and didn't lay them out at equal distances from each other. May have even been laid diagonally (slightly) if I remember right.

I wouldn’t mind seeing about a 150yd lane of sand that sets up as a bunch of uneven rollers that riders just let the 450 rip through.

A Long straight with small hits throughout.

Essentially I want to see some speed and hear the bikes put down some power. I really liked some of the tracks in the past at Glendale and I think they captured some of the speed we have been missing with these big bikes. Think about the back straight and ski jump in Vegas. Most exciting part of the track because of the speed IMO.

Also the more I think about it, a few rollers or a small single 20 yards out of the gate could be entertaining as well. I would at least like to see it tried.

270-degree turn using an over-under bridge. You go through the under part, then spiral up around a constantly-elevating turn until you reach the top, where there's a kicker. Then land on the downside. Put a small roller about 15 feet past the downside so the MCs of this generation can separate themselves by doubling. This whole obstacle could be reversed, too: a double which lands on the backside of the over/under bridge (yes, single to table is a DOUBLE,) then a continually descending 270-degree turn through the under portion.

Step down landing on the over/under bridge. Followed by a rhythm that can only be done by jumping out to that step down from the over part.

Didn’t Pastrana design a track based on Excitebike obstacles for one Supercross? I bet the track designers said “you want me to do what?”

Get rid of lit pro and 90 percent of the electronics on today's bikes. I know it's an unpopular opinion but seriously these guys know where they are losing every 10th of a second thanks to this technology. That plus all the other data (where traction is lost, where the suspension is working the hardest) collected in qualifying leads to "one lined" tracks. And after that chance the spacing between jumps and different heights.

I like rollers because they're a real workout and they gobble up horsepower, so....big rollers up and down a hill, plus a big bowl berm with rollers through the entire thing. Also, a single into a dozen rollers would be cool to see how far people can jump in.

I dig the corner double and corner whoops idea, that sounds like it could be cool. Some of the hammered old sand pit tracks I’d practice on growing up had like, what felt like waist deep rollers through corners and I always thought it was cool as shit

2009. Feld/dirt wurx were wise in 08-09 utilizing riders to design tracks.

Has there ever been one in supercross? As for when Pastrana and former racers designing a track, why did they go away from that? I feel like they did this for a few year. Mike Brown also designed one, or was it MC?

I remember seeing off camber turns in SX. I just don't remember which years.
