I think it safe to say, most US riders have never been in a crowd like this. It would have to be exciting, if not a little frightening.

Im hope this race gets our sport some mainstream headlines.
When you see an event like this its hard to imagine moto in the shadows.

That race was a spectacle the international moto brotherhood can all be proud of.

The smoke bombs remind me of the helicopter scene in Apocolypse Now with the Playboy bunnies. ind of spooky really.

I imagine ear plugs aren't a bad idea?

Ive been to many AMA nationals over the years including Budds mxdn in 07. There is nothing in the US that remotely compares with the insanity of this place. No fucks given is this nations motto. The size of the crowd and the entire "show" has to be seen to be believed.

That was impressive! To bad there is not good track side viewing for 70,000+ people at Glen Helen for the 2017 MXdN.

It's always strange to me how they're so into eating "organic" and their universal healthcare yet they all smoke like a chimney.

I wonder if that will actually happen. Youth streams been known to take their toys away and give them to others.

Where does this idea come from that everyone in Europe is passionate about eating Organic food? I've heard that a few of times recently.

It might be true of the middle classes but I wouldn't say it's necessarily true for your typical motocross fan.

When I was living in that area the government was banning certain hormones and other things from meat, you shopped for groceries every few days so they'd be fresh and I got the general idea people cared more about that stuff than here. It was really nice. It's one of the things I miss most about Europe

What is strange to me is the Euro obsession with obnoxious, eardrum rupturing noises. I don't think I could handle someone incessantly blowing an air horn directly behind my head, nor a chainsaw screaming at WOT.

Unforgettable, the sound through the valley on the first lap, 2 strokes, air horns, chainsaws and the crowd

Mxdn in Europe just went on my bucket list. How would an American get treated??? Would it be like going to an Eagles game in a Cowboys jersey? Or would I make it out alive?

Must be interesting for Webb who has never been to the mxdn / lived in a clean moto bubble his entire life. Welcome to the world!

Im sure you will get treated very well if you enjoy it. Im sure you would get treated bad if you compare everything to back home / are offended by nudity / other english & euro party behavior.

Maybe 20 years ago but I wouldn't be cut out for a crowd like that now. Guess I'll never attend a MXdN.... Maybe a USGP would be more my speed . Smile

Freakn loved the rowdy/loud crowd, added a lot to the atmosphere of the event.

I went to the last 2 in the UK and was treated awesome, it really is a fun event and there is nothing like the ones in Europe.

I went to Buds Creek and Thundervalley, they were good but nothing like the ones in the UK.

I wonder what the Huffmans would do if I let off a couple smoke bombs and a flare up at Washougal next summer?

I just realized also that I own both a chainsaw and a two stroke leaf blower. Looks like Ill have to bring the wife to maximize our fan experience.

That was an insane atmosphere at that race. I can only dream of that kind of support at the GH MXoN in 2017. I'll be there with the family for sure to give my support. Congrats again to France. Very proud of our USA men.

The bar has certainly been raised for promoters and home country fans alike for future MXdN races. Congrats to a well deserving French squad. I think it's safe to say that our USA boys rose to the occasion and met/surpassed most expectations, short of winning.

What you guys get to see trackside is NOTHING compared to the campsites at night, car engines in shopping carts, naked pit bike racing, tents, e-z ups, rubbish skips and cars on fire, sofas being dragged behind cars with 5 or 6 people clinging on, at a Foxhills GP in about 94/95 the riot police were called, helicopters and all, made the national news and papers, it's pretty scary when you have your family with you sometimes, but great fun most of the time, you just have to be a little careful where you park your van.
