Been seeing a lot of scams like these lately. Over here someone keeps listing a newer KTM 450 FE for $1,500. Pretty sure it's just a phone number / email phishing scheme. They're getting crafty though... Seen several rare bikes for sale at very reasonable prices, I know people who have contacted the seller about it but seller always says the bike is sold. Yet, the ads keep getting reposted on the weekly basis.

I have someone coming over in an hour but if you want to Paypal me the money I'll tell him it's sold. You'll be sending the money "friends or family" which has no fees and Paypal won't guarantee.

Also, it was posted 3 days ago and it's still up. Good luck with that to anyone who thinks they're getting a $5,000 bike for $1000.

its in an upper middle class part of town.

I hate to say it but that 300 with the 24's in the background makes me suspicious.

Anyone interested should ask the seller to send a photo of the registration or pink slip...

Yeah I almost got scammed on a 15 300xc for $2,000. They said they were a lady who recently got divorced and needed money so they were selling their ex husbands bike.

when you contact them to come look at it......they'll give you every answer in the book except for the one your looking for.

Of course its a scam, but it couldnt hurt to text them and ask them to come look a it. Then they will give an excuse why they can't show it and will ask for your e mail. The last one I responded to just blew me off when I told him that I was interested in nothing more than coming to look at it since it was supposedly close to me. He kept wanting to get my e mail so he could send me pictures of it.

I told him I didn't need more pictures since the price was low and the bike was close I'd like to stop by and look at it.

Never heard from him again and immediately went to craigslist and flagged that bitch.

This happened while trying to find a car on craigslist.

I noticed you can tell by the picture, usually there is only one picture, most sellers will post many pictures.

On the car scam it was always one great picture of one great car, and 858 seems to be the area code used.

Ha Ha, You guys just missed out on a great deal. I am gonna be the proud owner of this bike as soon has his shipper can get it here. Very nice guy that had to relocate suddenly and just needed to unload it fast. Very easy transaction. The worst part of it was having to wait in line at the western union office.
