When do you guys think this will blow over and things will be back to business as usual? Meaning, people will be back at work, everything open for business, no lines at Costco, and no 24-7 headline news about this virus, and all sporting events and large gatherings allowed again?

Based on the what's going on with the CDC, I would HOPE we are back to normal by June 1st at the latest... the next three weeks will probably get really bad once the testing starts and cases spike. But I'm hoping once the weather warms up a bit we'll see this thing start to dissipate quickly and therefore the fear should dissipate quickly as well.

Anyone think this thing is going to drag on for 6 months?

It's so hard to say. At what point do restrictions start getting lifted? There won't be vaccine this spring/summer so what's the tolerance going to be if it's still spreading slowly in June?

Personally, our company is still coming into the office in downtown Chicago.

The former head of the FDA was on CNBC early this morning saying the peak of this run of Corona Virus is going to hit Mid-April at the earliest. Take that for what it's worth, but it was the first time I heard an actual projection on the "peak".

Have any of our Vital Members been diagnosed with Corona?

My township announced on Saturday that 2 residents are positive. Our township has roughly 46,500 residents.

Immediate affects will be 2-4 months.

God damn, it's like the world ended. I'm all nervous going to the grocery store.
I predict that after a few weeks, people will get sick of this and start going out again.
It kind of blows me away that political leaders are willing to shut down the entire economy. This could put millions of people on the streets and on the government dole- maybe that's worse than a pandemic of a flu that is not fatal to the vast majority of people. Sometimes I think the goal of the ruling class is to make every single American a slave to the government.
SF Mayor just ordered everybody to stay in their homes except for nonessential needs. Restaurants can only do take-out, groceries and pharmacies will stay open. It's is a Totalitarian wet dream. Maybe we'll even get some troops out in the streets for full-on martial law.

What are the chances that this thing is not airborne? Airborne with a super fast transmission rate.

|

3/16/2020 12:46 PM

With a two week incubation period. The number of cases worldwide is probably an astounding number right now.

Or piss all over the place. I go with my wife and her mom every summer for a baseball game and to hang at the pier but the last couple years it's gotten so bad we stopped going. I was tired of literally dodging piles of shit on the sidewalk and pools of piss everywhere.

Side note: There's this 1 homeless guy in SF...lives in a box outside of McDonalds near the Giants stadium. Been there for years and every single time my wife and I would go by he'd scream out "nice tits". Wasn't sure if I should be pissed or flattered so I always tell him thanks and btw nice box.

Just my hunch, but with all of our State governments shutting down nearly everything and world governments doing the same, there is some information that they are getting that the public is not. They understand what this is going to do to the world economy and wouldn't be doing this unless they had information that says shit is A LOT worse than what they are saying publicly because if we really knew how bad this was there would be a global breakdown in civil order.

I agree. The only thing that makes logical sense is that this thing is airborne.

18 months is the length 65 mil dead worldwide is the total.
This is according to the governments own simulation of this virus being unleashed on the public.
On Oct 18 2019 they did the simulation called Event 201 the same day the military was in a international Military games thing in Wuhan China.

The Gov knows exactly what it is as they made it in a bio weapons lab and it got out or was let out on purpose.

I was doing some yard work and a car was looking lost and looking for an address. They were in full hazmat type suits with masks on. Someone in my neighborhood must be getting checked.

Official guess is one month before bars and restaurants reopen.....

This will change America forever... We will never go back to the "old normal".... I expect things to finally land closer to the 70s where nearly everyone pinched every single penny.... and that is "best case" imo.... It could go the other way as well, but I don't even wanna think about that....
