Why do Yamahas bikes use different electric starts? The YZF250x has had elec start for a few years but its in front of the cylinder. Why is the race bikes motor behind the cylinder? I think it was Febvre that a few years ago was first using the elec start with the motor in front of the cylinder... probably for this reason.

It looks like Suzukis RMZ450x is the same way. Is there a way to use this on an RMZ by just using the cases so you can have an elec start suzuki race bike.. although then it will weigh even more? Where is Suzuki holding allll this extra weight? The motor?

Speaking of Suzukis why with their Aluminum frames do they consistently turn better than every bike... maybe until this year where a lot of people say the Honda turns the best now and its stable. Do they sacrifice everywhere else just to get the best steering? Say having very upright rake on the forks which will make it steer like a knife but then all over the place at high speed?

Thanks

Ok so do Suzukis turn better because they use a rake angle that compromises the rest of the handling like straight line stability to get better turn performance? I dont see why they would be sooo much better at turning than everything else year to year these are smart people at these companies, do the other companies look for more balance between straight line speed and cornering, whereas Suzuki is dead set on turning because theyre known for it so they compromise that? I mean theres not too much to it theres the wheel base, rake angle, weight distribution...etc so they must be making this a conscious decision.

The peculiar thing to me is that, the closer the other brands get to the Suzuki's weight, the better they do in the shootouts....

The starter motor on the front of the engine weights the front tire more. For increased traction and better turning?
