Stewart, Reed, and Villopoto all retire at the end of next season?

That seems crazy to me.

It's crazy right?

Stew says there is an 80% chance he's done after next year. Reed is saying pretty much the same thing. And Villo's contract is up after next year right?

That would certainly change things! We've been really fortunate to have so many guys capable of contending for the title.

Dungey will have an easier go of it. I hope Dungey races for 5 or 6 more years.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing. If they all retire it will blow especially when all three guys are still capable of winnijg. Also I know the racing should still be good but once Wilson and Mavin move up to 450. Who is left in the 250s that we can look forward too? I feel like the 250 class will be depleted of too guys

Aaahahahah, did I actually forget about Ryan Dungey??? Hell, WP40 might even take the final step to being a contender if he stays on the path he's been on the last few years!

I don't see RV retiring for awhile. Has there been something said regarding him hanging it up after his contact?

RV has made it very well known ( going back about 1.5yrs now.....that he had signed a new 3yr contract , and at the end of that contract he will retire from racing. That time is at the end of 2015.

If we lose James , Chad and RV all at the end of 2015........that's going to be a sad day in my book. James and Chad I can see , since they have been doing it for a long time....but RV? Kinda of thinking the same way I did when RC retired......a little too early. Guys like Chad , James , KW , Larocco , ( and quite a few others )........extended their career's quite a few years past what RV's age is. ( or will be )

i wouldn't be suprised if rv would stay a few years longer.
to me it looks like he's enjoying racing a little more than in the past few years.
of course only judged by his interviews and social media stuff, or maybe i'm just kidding myself cause i wan't to see him race a bit longer ?!?!

I hope it happens. It would give other racers the opportunity to make a better living and start their own legacy.

I see reed retiring for sure and probably stewart, but I just cant believe villopoto is going to hang it up that early, that's really gonna be a sad day for racing, but gives a chance for the new young talent to come up

I'm finding it hard to believe that RV2 would retire so early in his career. Would Kawasaki extend his contract or is it written in stone that he is done in 2015?

That is crazy to think about. I would have to believe Dungey would dominate if that were the case, but you never know.

I think its more that by then he will have made his money, achieved his goals, and by then (likely without too much injury) can move forward with his life to do whatever he feels like.

RC retired at 27.

How old is RV, he wouldn't be far off, and I don't think he's a guy that loves the sport for anything else than the feeling of winning. If he's racing, he wants to win. Needs it.

Not seeing Reed and Stewie out there will suck. Same with Villlopoto. The up and comers are just not the same style wise, confidence wise, and speed wise. Most are on the tit still. I will have a hard time following it like I do now when they go. Ahhh I feel old now. Seems like yesterday the 103 and 259 started their beef at the nats. Damn...

I don't see someone as exciting as James or RC coming up again anytime soon.
