Does anyone have any insight into how much it would cost to mail a MX frame (no subframe) from UK, AUS or Europe to the USA? I am a lot more curious than serious, but maybe one day!

Probably have to take it to a shipping station , get it weighed , insured and then give them an idea of where you want to send it and so forth. I have a buddy that bought a couple XXL Bmx frames from Europe ( both at the same time , from the same guy ) , and I don't think the shipping was all that bad. Usually with something that size , they charge for the size of the unit , and not the weight. Depending on who is shipping it.

Take it as luggage on your flight and pay the price for the overweight. That's wat Tanel Leok did to Argentina and Qatar.

I moved a bike across borders that way too. I bought a Hockey Goalie bag (they are big!) and put the frame in there. Checked the back and flew from Europe to California that way.

I am just talking about mailing it from "over there" to "over here". No flight involved.

Someone in that country needs the weight, box size and your address and they can get it calculated.

I had this flown over from Australia to Houston Intercontinental in a crate for $3850.00. Didn't want it tied up on a ship and in customs for 6-8 weeks.

Be careful as you'll find the expensive part is the insurance. So many parcels go missing nowadays that i can't go without insuring items for what they're worth. It's annoying but i wouldn't want to pay out for a brand new frame if it got lost...
