We’ve all seen Webb’s insane ability to stay low in the corners, but what does he do to noticeably stay lower than everyone else on the jumps. He doesn’t scrub necessarily harder than anyone else, but he looks like he flies so low. Just more intensity?

As far as his jump style. He just flows well. Doesn’t really need to over exaggerate staying low. He just keeps his momentum going forward. This extreme scrub business is way overrated. Takes energy and has a bit of risk involved. You can make up more time learning to corner better.
It’s possible to stay low and jump faster without scrubbing dramatically. MC and Reed were really good at this and so now is Cooper. They’ve learned to use their legs to soak up the suspension return on the jump faces better than some. This allows them to jump all jumps fast and then scrub when or if needed.
If smaller/lighter riders have a massive advantage, how did Tomac win last year?? Or did he just put on 20-25lbs this past winter?
The Dunge was also really good at staying low whilst not looking overly flashy.
