Surprisingly racing east coast. Says he wants to race these tracks to get familiar with them for 2017 450sx. I guess the same for JMART, flip with Webb to race the west for when he moves up also.

Not sure. Wouldn't mind watching Bowers or Cianciarulo race Webb.

I can see TB doing east as well.
I've seen no posts of him riding yet and he did great on that coast in '13 after Arenacross
Like to see Coop run the #1 out west though.

I just hope he gets a shot at a few west rounds on a 450....

That kid swings a big stick around Yamaha. When was the last time a 250 team allowed their defending champ to switch coasts and NOT run the #1 just to benefit him after he leaves the team?

Props to Yamaha for not being selfish and prioritizing the kid's growth over marketing.

After Bercy he said it looks like he may be back to racing West. Unless it's changed again.

Hes going to need a break after doing all these overseas races. So racing east would be the smart thing.

So Cooper does all these overseas sx's while the Martins and Plessinger pound out laps at the test track and train properly. We'll see if training by racing beats training by practicing.

BTW, Im a big fan of doing the off season sx's. Make money and travel the world and do foreign female research while you can.

That was recorded at Bercy. So was the PulpCast where he said he may be back to racing West.

Plessinger got injured at MEC, and I think it was his ankle. Alex Martin has been pounding laps so he is fine, but Jeremy Martin hasn't posted any pictures or clips of him riding since he raced in Japan. But that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Anyway, I guess we'll have to wait until it's closer to A1 to find out what's actually happening.

Plessinger is and I think possibly Alex Martin. Alex looks to be riding this week though...

If I had to guess, I think this will be their lineup.

West: Jeremy Martin / Alex Martin
East: Cooper Webb / Aaron Plessinger

No way Jeremy and Cooper will be on the same coast.

Now if Jeremy is the one with an injury, he hasn't posted anything about riding since Japan, then Cooper will be on West coast.

Pretty sure Yamaha is loading up a Brinks truck to make sure that he isn't going anywhere. So they are being selfish, they're just thinking about their future together.

I'm not sure. Mitchell has been riding a lot the past few weeks...

I always like the idea of putting rookies on West coast. On East, they have to deal with rutted out SX tracks when they're still developing timing for Supercross, which can make things tough. Also, if they get injured (which there's a higher chance for a first year rookie), they'll usually have a bit longer to heal up for Outdoors. Where if they get hurt on East, they usually have less time to get back to 100% for Outdoors.

Star Racing's west coast photo shoot is today. Webb is sporting the 1W bike, so it looks like he will be racing West. And it looks like Harrison and Alex Martin will be joining him. Side note, the bikes look awesome.

The #1w could easily be for photos only. Doesn't mean he's racing West- although I'd like to see that (in person).

Bikes look good. Wonder if they are all really running Rekluse clutches or just the covers for a sponsorship deal??

Rekluse makes a fantastic manual clutch known as the Torq Drive... HRC Honda in Europe and Japan use it, along with Dixon Racing Monster Energy Kawasaki.

I believe today was a Thor photo shoot, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was just for photos.

Any idea why JMart wouldn't be there if it was a Thor photoshoot? Maybe he does have a small injury?

What makes you think they aren't it in for the long haul?

never really thought about that but why are they not allowed to run the #1 plate if they decide to race the other coast? i mean where is the point of having #1w and #1e as number plates in the first place then.

"The weeks approaching a new season are always hectic, and especially so if you are a 250-class racer on a high-level team. For reigning Western Regional 250 Supercross Champion Cooper Webb, the next couple of weeks will determine which regional championship he will contest. Webb would like to contest the Eastern Regional 250 Supercross Championship not only to bookend his 250 Supercross career with a 1E plate to match his 1W plate, but to gain valuable experience on the softer East Coast SX tracks in preparation for his impending move to the 450 class in 2017. An ankle injury recently suffered by Webb’s Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha teammate Jeremy Martin, however, may require Webb to defend his championship on the west, as it’s doubtful that Martin will be ready to race come Anaheim 1 on January 9. “At this moment it’s all up in the air, but either way, I will be ready to race at A1 if that’s what the team needs,” said Webb."

I'll bet the bikes you see above will be the ones at A1 barring injury.
