Webb fought like a pitbull to the end, caught Plessinger, and put himself in a position to capitalize on Plessinger's mistake in the last rithym section before the checkered flag. Well done.

He’s made more crucial passes on the last 1/8 lap than any rider I’ve ever seen.

Minor mistake but showed the Star Yamaha 450 is the best YZ450F yet. But all the old vet riders here will say its a fat unrideable pig

There have been a couple times this year where AP has pretty much rolled over for Webb on the last lap

I was at one of the indy rounds and saw AP roll the top of the berm letting Webb by. It looked almost as intentional as savatgy at monster cup

How high is the likely likelihood of AP riding and almost flawless race just to lose 3 seconds on the last straight of the last lap?

I’m going to get my tin foil hat, this is getting good!

Cooper closing in on the final lap for the kill? How unusual Wink . Plessinger made one mistake on the triple out section. Cooper was smart enough to never stop pushing so he’d be in a position to capitalize on a mistake.

I was curious too and brought this up in the race thread. He made more than one mistake on the last lap. In low 20 second segments(3 and 4), Webb gained 1.2 and 2.2 seconds respectively on Plessinger. Phenomenal rides by both riders.

Just imagine if we could've actually seen it on TV.

AP got too comfortable as he was heading for the first box finish of his career instead of going for the kill. He had run 1:11s on the prior two laps.

Webb never gets comfortable.

Learning opportunity for AP7.

They replayed it on the broadcast. AP didn't triple out of the last corner.

It was a great ride for AP and he was stoked. He said something to the affect that he couldn't have asked for anything more. I think he could've asked to to go 3-3-3 after the last turn. I'm sure Kenny would have also asked him to...

Aaron hoping to get a ride at factory ktm be like:
Letting coop bye repeatedly
He might have to battle Kenny for that spot since he keeps pulling over for Webb on the last lap too!

I'd be pissed if I squandered the lead he had on Webb. He had a 3 second gap going into the last lap, and if I remember correctly around 8 second gap around halfway point in the race, he was close to Tomac, like 2-3 seconds behind at that point.. Looks like lap 13-20 Webb was faster than AP, but even still lap 20 is what bit him, he was 3.8 seconds slower,

Webb is the smartest "racer" going, add in fitness and bike and this is what he does.

Perfect nickname. His focus is so sharp on the last laps...like he can smell blood in the water, and "finds" a way around the rider(s) in front of him. I'm not a huge fan of him personally...but I'm a huge fan of him as a racer! He damn sure stirs it up!

I think in this case it was more AP squandering the lead he had. That or he really wants that KTM ride, not sure which, but I almost hope it is the later.
