I like how he cuts through all the BS with an old-school respect for battles won and lost with his old team. I'm pumped to see how he will do on the KTM.

I don't think he will do any better. Needs to fix his head before the bike.

At least he was professional about it and did not burn bridges and bad mouth the bike like James Stewart.

Well yeah if he underperforms on KTM he might need a ride again...

I know nothing about his head but I agree. I think Cooper is just a 4th-6th place guy.

And the sport would suck without 4th to 6th place riders.

I can’t stand how some of the posters here seem genuinely offended when a rider doesn’t rise to the top in total domination. Every weekend there can only be one winner. Usually the guy that won the weekend before is the odds favorite to win again. So without the rank and file factory riders being just that, the gap from third to 7th would be even larger and more boring than it can be at times. I’ve said this ad nauseam, an individuals level of success is not measured by the numbers on a scoring sheet.

not looking total domination, but fighting for podiums and wins would be expected given his past

People's expectations were/are based off of what he was/is hyped to do... then to see him wallow around creates armchair critiques and animosity, then add in a career number 2 and it puts him front and center, not blending in with the pack. I will add that up to this point, he sure as hell has won in life and maybe this move will re-ignite him.

I didn't knock him at all. I wish I was 1/2 as good as him. I love watching him ride. I simply stated my opinion on where he will be. I hope I'm wrong and he fights for titles.

Deal is done, ink is dry, he's headed to Aldon's (if he isn't already there)
What's he going to do with his house/compound here in the Charlotte area? Keep for later? Sell? Rent it out?

I think the idea is that Decoster and Baker might be able to right that ship. It will be fun to see how he performs!

I think the desire to beat his team mate should get Coop fired up surely.

Oh yeah i’m really looking forward to see how they’re gonna get along but i do think it’s NOT gonna be a relation of friendship. Seriously, i hope Coop rebounce from this fresh start because he can surely be a contenter when he is on.

Should be a quick trip with the restrictor plate off the red dragon.
