Amazing weekend. Grew up watching Windham race our hometown New Orleans SX. Then Houston, his adopted home race after New Orleans was dropped from schedule. What a treat. A national level track. And got to meet and get autographs with my grown kids now. Windham, Pastrana, Cue, Reynard. And even ran into Ferry with his kids racing. Brought an old magazine with Windham on the cover to autograph. And after flipping through it, was able to get Pastrana to autograph a picture of his in there. And a 2page spread of Ferry making his comeback on the Kawi. Even he said when was this from? It was a 2009 edition of RacerX. Cool weekend with my kids and former idols from that era. By the way, Reynard still HAULS ASS ! Cool to see him pitting out of his pickup just like a regular guy.

I'm still bummed I had to miss that. I grew up very close to there and got to ride with Kevin a lot back in the day. I moved away several years ago. I had made plans to go to this race and hang out for the weekend, but had to go on a business trip and couldn't make it.
