Google Earth has a cool feature that allows you to go back as far as 1995 to see historical images. I've always wondered about the exact layout of the track. This image makes it a bit more clear. I also found Kenny Zhart's old SX and outdoor track that I used to ride back in 98-99.

Are you talking about KZ’s tracks in SCV? Rode his sx track a few times when I lived at the top of the hill there. Everything is gone now and they are building more homes...

how are you going back in years? can't find that feature.
The feature isn't available in the web based version. You need to download google earth pro. Once you open it up, you will see this button (circled below). Click it a slider appears.

It's that square on the bottom right corner. The track may have been closed by then but I remember riding my bike there a few times to watch.

Imagine how many riding areas would still be left if previous generations bred responsibly and immigration laws were enforced?

Mo people, mo problems...

Looks like it was gone by then but probably not long before this image was taken.

That whole deal was a bummer. It wasn't the best track but, it was nice to be able to get some practice in on a week night. In reality, the people at the airport have a lot of money and power. They didn't like either track being there. People leaving trash in the airport parking lots, didn't help either. The "were going to build an FAA center there" was just an excuse.

That was it. Yeah, it was gone by then I guess. They had an announcer tower there and everything.

DUDE! MXD you are the man for posting this. It's basically a personal step back in time for me seeing these images

I grew up about 15 minutes from Simi Valley (where Hordaland was). The one and only time I rode back there was in '95 as a young teen with some friends, we got chased out after only about an hour or two.

Rode Zhart's a bunch once I was older and had my license. I just came across a picture of me from there i'll have to dig it up. I went to college in San Diego and rode Palm Ave as well as the old El Cajon MX track a few times a month. Good times!

I was born/raised in Minnesota, but rode Saddleback Park in 78. (Saw my first small Japanese pickup that trip also!) Wonder if Saddleback shows up in 1995. Progress sucks! Except for this google earth thing, this could get addicting, very cool!!

I have no idea even where in So-Cal it was, just some good memories, and several pictures my dad took of me (1976 YZ125) and my younger bother (XR75) racing the California dudes! (got my ass handed to me BTW, lol)

Maybe some locals could dig up those coordinates?

From what I could find, it closed in the late 80's. The oldest pic I could find was 94 and was already gone. I did find a clearer image from 02 that shows some of the layout.

I dislocated my shoulder in the upper-left corner of that MX track once, when it was going clockwise.
Ah, the memories!

What are the exact coordinates for Hondaland?

10 minutes from my house. RIP Kenny.....

Spent a lot of time in the hills of SCV growing up. Took my kid there to ride the SX track a few times, but he was on an 80 and wasn’t ready yet.

Mike and Jeff Alessi use to drive out to ride Kenny’s tracks, they were so beat down, borderline dangerous !

Thank you for the walk down memory lane. Saddleback closed in 84. I was there the day they didn't open the gates. We were all in line and we kept waiting until Donna Dymond (Micky's sister - who worked the front gate) came out and said the park is closed. We just thought for the day and not forever.

To switch gears a bit, found this on MXA regarding Saddleback as it is today. The place is still alive with moto and mother nature has taken her back. So much for the tree huggers saying that motorcycles will scar the land.

Huge Track in Fontana, Ca near foothill and the bike trail now turned to houses. Does anybody know anything about it? Looked pretty sweet.
