Its a piece of mx history but unless you have a fancy for it or the one near you is mint. I'd say not super special and this one is not worth a grand.

A grand for that pile of shit.....aaarrrggghhhh. What's this world coming to.Blink There was a guy here in Texas who vintage raced a nice one back in the early 90's. Scrawny little guy who just fuggin flew on that pinging ass turd. His little brother was a big burly body builder looking guy who rode a MX360. Both were super fast on bikes that weren't known for being real good.

This is moto related. Old school gets nothing. I want it to ride and run but its just going to be eye candy for me. Have a personal attachment to this bike

Between the bike and the price, I threw up a little in my mouth.

Better to see that in a museum. Pay the guy to keep it in the barn, and go look at it once in awhile.

Just text him daily and ask if he still has it. After 59 days follow it up with. You're gonna get a lot more texts from me until you lose your emotional attachment.

Text him and ask him if he still has it?

Two available within close proximity. What's the chance! Pretty cool, since you're into them. What would make that dent in the tank? A chain link fence post?

"1st big bore 500cc 2 stroke ever made."
lesson of life never buy the 1st year of a new bike this is why.

where do you start the worst intake design ever, before laid down rear shocks drum brakes that lasted a lap on until they got wet.

It should be given back to Yamaha how not to design a bike.

I still would not pay more than $500.00 each for any of those nicer looking four up above. And that's if I was interested in any of them. The 175 cylinders can be punched .080 over to 192cc I believe. Mod the intake for a 250 reed and bolt it on an early YZ125 bottom end. Seems that was one of those vintage mods....that or the 33hp Noguchi 175 kit!

I restored one about 10 years ago, and bought out just about every N.O.S. Part available. Still have a sizable stock of engine internal parts. It is a garage queen, as they are temperamental, and not much fun to ride.
