Think Marvins ink was still fresh that morning on that 2 yr extension and knowing the KTM executives were in the stands on that last lap made him think of the bigger picture. He showed he was the next guy to carry the plate home for KTM, but until then he knows this is still Dungey house.
In my opinion it was a bad idea and a very risky one to overtake Dungey, but he did very cleanly, then nerve breaking and very risky to lead, but again he did it very cleanly, improving overall Dungey's speed by showing some good lines whereas the track was super tricky. Overall technically I am VERY impressed by their talent.
