Here's the complete list of all 40 riders, the ten teams, what bikes the riders are on, what gear they're in, etc...

We also have all the nationalities listed and riders age. Average age came out to 28.9 years old.

Do we know any details regarding a live steam of the first race?

Always the same 40? What happens with injuries? Can you get fill in riders?
If there are injuries, the teams are required to get a fill-in rider or they're fined 100k per round they are short a rider.

No clue. I've heard the race might be on TV via Fox Sports 1 here in the states. But no word on streaming.

They were trying to put together a third round last week. They wanted to do a double header in Australia, by racing the Friday night before round two (making round two actually round three) but it sounds like that's been shelved now. Two riders and a team I spoke to said they weren't too happy with how they were presented round three. The teams are supposed to receive $50,000 per team, per round. Apparently they were either going to not pay the teams the 50k each ($500,000 if you add up all ten teams) and go with purse money only on this round. Or, they were do the up front payments / start money and chop the purse by quite a bit. It sounds like no one could agree on how to proceed so it's off the last I heard.

They should have had less USA based teams. None of them stepped outside of the box for riders. Would have been cool to add more Euro/Aussie flare than some of the back marker 250f guys

The Aussie and Euro teams still picked quite a few US riders. Not sure it would've changed much by getting one or two more Euro teams, they still would've hired a chunk of US guys.

Thanks for sharing these kinds of scoops. Interesting stuff, I'm surprised they aren't just doing rounds 2 and 3 in Australia, but it makes sense how you broke it down.

I thought I heard the FIM requirements are a minimum of three rounds to be considered a series?

Wonder why Ken is running his own personal branded graphics and sponsor placement instead of running the team graphics?

He's got his long-time sponsor commitments...which differ from the teams sponsors.

Fox
Red Bull
Etc. ...

I'm guessing he may be "paying his own way" for these 2 races in order to be able to fulfill his various commitments.

Pretty psyched to see this. Too bad Honda is being such a bitch about it. Other teams seem at least okay, except maybe Factory Kawi?, with riders going. Jett riding at home would have been great. Honda has had a huge 2x4 up their ass since at least the McGrath days. Not making me want to support them. JMO.

KTM wouldn't allow Webb to compete either. Most OEMs aren't supportive of this series at all.

Got it. Well…at least Yamaha let riders go…lol. 1 out of 4 brands…yikes. Good for Yamaha. Maybe that offsets looking real bad on how they handled the claimgate.

Eli Tomac is going as Wild Card on his own team's equipment and branding. Doing the whole series would've been a different story.

They don't have any other factory US riders participating.

I knew Star wasn’t supporting but they let him go at least. Saw Colt also but I guess he isn’t Star anymore…

Star forbid Tomac to race Paris last winter.
His new contract made it clear that he's allowed three overseas races of his choice.

Average age in SX1 comes in at 29.9 years (30).

Will that equate to better racing and fewer “lame moves” on the track?

Idk man. I don’t think you’d see grant Harlan or marshal weltin on teams if it weren’t for them being us teams. Or grant. I just think there are plenty of guys in Europe or Aus that could have gotten some of those spots and made it more “world championship” than “privateer USA guys”

Colt, Bogle, Seeley, Anstie and Philthy in the 250 class. I can get with that group.
