Competitive Edge Closing ???

I hear a rumor that Comp Edge was closing at the end of December, last weekend when I was there the girl at the gate said it wasn't true but some friends of mine went to ride this last Tuesday and they were closed. There was nothing posed and the Facebook page for them has no hours for this week or next week.

It was only a matter of time. Shopping center coming soon.....

At least he bought Racetown and I’m sure they will put more effort into it, once Comp is closed. Hopefully they will be open everyday soon.

Damn, I hope this isn't true, their prep has been awesome lately. I noticed they haven't been posting practice schedules recently and I had to call them last time but they were open. Hillside track is awesome but does anybody else think the jumps on the main are a bit ridiculous for a public track? Last time I was there weren't more than four guys riding it.

I hope this isnt true. I love that track. I have video of me riding right where the track is about 30 years ago when i was 3 on a pw50.

I do agree that the main track has some gnarly stuff, at least when I was there. It has some obstacles that are definitely over my head, and that’s why I won’t go to comp. Wish I could hit everything because prep there is excellent, but I’m old and not trying to get ruined over it.

Really?!

I’ve been wanting to hit Comp Edge for the last couple years and finally have a riding buddy to go with and they are going to close? Just my own damn bad luck!

At this moment, both Comp Edge and SunriseMX have scheduled race events for 2019. So I don’t foresee a sudden closure.Years ago Comp Edge property was slated to become the new San Bernardino County Fairground, and we haven’t heard any different yet.

As for them being closed Tuesday, it was probably just that they were slammed with last weeks rain. They did post that they would be closed till this coming weekend.

Because the world needs more shopping cnters there is plenty of desert between there and wherever else.....so lame they chose comp edge as the spot

The comp edge main track is awesome. Last visit there a couple weeks ago it looked like the track was redone by a different guy. Everything was peakier, deeper, and this new double on triple out section i saw Keefer try.
Its higher speed but the jumps are fun ! Unlike Pala i cant seem to enjoy that main track.
They should get rid of that “ quad track” that used to be apart of the main track and make a vet track.

One of my favorite tracks, main is definitely out of most peoples skill level though, but most of the jumps have smaller options, and they prep it really well. Hope this isn't true, but I'll probably head out there this weekend just in case.

Just want to say that I rode here for the first time today with Wildeye511 and had a blast on the hillside track. Very sad that it is closing, that main track is no joke and watched Keefer turning some pretty quick laps!

Anyhoo... happy I was finally able to ride the track, and bummed this was the last day for an awesome facility!

Last day riding comp edge today was bitter sweet, i normally see keefer at this track so i finally asked for a photo. The place was more packed then ive seen it in a while. My first race was at Comp edge during the Vetx days. Something about the high dez and joshua trees.

I wish they gave out more than a weeks notice, I would have had more time to get out there one more time. Bummer to see it go, it was definitely one of my favorite tracks, when it's not windy.

Joe is not involved. Sad to say it’s the 24th and it’s done. Running a track is not cheap. Return on time invested is only made at a few tracks.
That’s the shit side of that business. They gave it a good shot there they have to be commended for that.

Sad that everyone waits until the last weekend it's open to pack the place. Maybe if they had gone there more often, the place wouldn't be closing.
