Anyone hear that Justin Anderson plans on racing Rosebud this summer?
Mute your sound then....seriously.
Why does everyone constantly bitch about the commentary? If you actually watch the racing, the commentary shouldn't be anything more than background noise.
If you don't think it's an issue when the lead commentator of the sport doesn't know the riders names or the places they race, then I can't help you guys. I'm not bitching for the sake of bitching, Im just embarrassed for our sport. It's one thing to make a mistake, its another when it's crystal clear when the person doesn't have enough knowledge to do their job.
Todd Harris just sounds completely incompetent. Doesn’t know rider names, not very knowledgeable about the sport. I prefer Diffey, I don’t know why this guy is here.

Seems like they're trying them both out this year. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense to have both of them at the same venue for different nights. I hope they'll keep Diffey aswell for next year.

You try to do your job right, don't you? So why shouldn't they? We hear Weege and Langston killing it each summer. Why shouldn't we hold the SX broadcast up to similar standards?
Ya the name mixups and occasional odd one liners are cringe.. but what drove me nuts is no one acknowledged that the 450s started hoping that tall roller in the kinked straightaway before the finish.
Not only was it creative and risky, it was damn fast. Completely ignored.

Leigh has a real big boy job and is covering Indy Car right now.
I have been super critical of the TV broadcasts this year, camera work, announcers, but last night was maybe the best one I've seen this year. I pay for my subscription therefore I do care about the quality of the broadcast. I really have no gripes about last night, I did think ATL 1 was the worst one this season. I personally wish they would just call the race like they used to, keep the camera on the good battles, show the top 3-5 guys finish the heats, etc... I don't need to hear all the stories and shit. That's what social media is for.

Agreed. At the end when Tomac was trying to catch Webb, he was the only top guy not hopping it and was still bouncing off it and it set him back each lap! I was hollering at the tv!!
I dont get why they always say they are catering to new viewers and trying to grow the sport, but the commentating sounds like something at a local high school football game. I barely listen to the broadcast myself because its typically really bad, but when I do catch myself listening, I shake my head a lot. How are we supposed to grow the sport and help bring in new viewers when the announcers cant remember the names of the riders? I think it was Justin Cooper was called three different names within three different turns last night.

The Dude "F'd" up name... So that means he can't do his job? It must be a lot of pressure to be perfect!!! How do you do it?!! Jaysus Criminy people. Get the F#ck over yourselves.
I think Todd spends too much time dealing with the production team and listening to what they're saying too much. He's obviously a proven broadcaster with a big resume, so he should rely on his skills. He is definitely 3-5 seconds delayed on action happening. I have a soft spot for him because he hosted the BMX races on TV in the 90s.

The Shop
Fire him, ban him from the booth, take away his titles, and force him to move into a one bedroom apartment with no A/C in Lake Elsinore.
Will that be satisfactory to the anonymous critics?
You shit talkers try live announcing sometime and see how the internet critics treat you.

Of course, there was no flanneled douchebag to deal with. ...and even screetching Will was kept mostly to audio.
Pit Row
You can watch it on any screen you own, whenever you want. It's awesome. If you don't like the commentary, turn it off. Just watch the race and enjoy.
