Nice!

I'm gonna get after the L I've ridden and see what we can do with the Vortex ignition...

funny he is going to black anodize a bunch of parts. I just did it to mine. Triple clamps, engine mounts, chain guide, ect...looks way better. Just had to go a couple weeks without riding, Vortex and exhaust next

That bike is awesome, finally another choice besides a DRZ. I will pick one up used in a few years!

Parts 2 and 3 added to first post! Blacked out frame/swingarm/clamps should look interesting! That pipe will be nice and I hope it fits!

I don't envy how political he must be about the stock parts. I did like that he was taking justified jabs at the stock exhaust

I really like these Vids!
It's interesting how Honda made four different bikes from one platform.
Impressive how much wiring is stuffed in there and all the parts that make the bike quiter. Even the swingarm is filled with material to absorb noise.

What about the X? Is it as street legal as the L in the U.S.? Would it have been a better base for Cole to start with?

In Germany the X would definetely need some treatment to make it street legal and it seems that it is not even available here. The L is no problemo.

In the USA only the L is street legal. In several states it is somewhat easy to get dirt bikes plated BUT also in many you cannot. In California they are going to start fining motorcycles with a "modified" exhaust (US$1,000 plus court costs) so even replacing the stock exhaust on the L model could get you into trouble.

It's really two different platforms; the R and RX and the X and the L BUT many parts do cross over to all of them. For some states the X would have been a better model to start off with for sure!

All of us in California are loving what Cole is doing and hope to learn what the L can be turned into!!!

Besides time to complete it, it sounds like the remapped ECU is not yet available. Hopefully there will be an update soon. Would be cool to see some riding vids.

Vortex just became available and there’s a piggy back style system coming from Bazzaz I heard.

Sweet! I’m also curious to see what Cole’s bike weighs once he’s finished.

I think it was cool Vital got invited to the press intro.

While the black is cool, I'd like to see it done with gold anodizing.

Incredible video. He could have a career as a movie stunt guy if he wants it after racing.

Pretty impressive production value on that video. Great aerial footage. I assume they used a drone to get the aerial footage of him going over that bridge. Is that a difficult thing to do with consumer drones? (I have no drone experience.)

Cole was rip'n with that L on the Honda SX track.... takes a lot of mods to get it up to that type of speed...
