How is Cole Seely able to represent Fox while being a Troy Lee athlete? Anyone notice this?

Fox is the official Honda HRC clothing sponsor. TLD is his personal sponsor. I agree that it's a weird conflict that you probably would not see in many other sports, but I would imagine it's in his contract that he must wear the official team gear for certain functions.

It's similar to an NFL player wearing Nike jerseys (NFL deal) and Addidas cleats (personal deal).

Also TLD was the team apparel sponsor for several years. So Canard had to rep TLD team apparel while being a Fly guy.

No doubt. The little tidbits like this are interesting. The Stewart Monster deal was probably one of the most interesting conflicts.

Yeah, it's been covered many times before. Welcome to the sport.

I think it's kind of BS that Roczen can cover it up but Seely can't (or maybe he can but chooses not to?)

Does Cole have to thank both of them when he reaches the podium?

I've been a fan and a close follower of the sport since the 1980's and know people that have been national contenders and am friends with a few current lites factory riders and wasn't very aware of the intricate dynamics of apparel sponsorship in the sport. I was interested in learning more about it, and a few of you commented that its been covered before, like how dare anyone ask questions about it. I respect Guy and he's been in the sport for years and is a good photojournalist, but I would think you would be encouraged by people wanting to know more about how the professional side of racing works. I want this sport to grow, and Vital is a place for people, newcomers, to learn, so I think its great that people ask questions about it. (And) to those that say, ' not this again,' why are you even wasting your time posting that, if you're seemingly bored about the topic and that it has been gone over before? That's a real turn off to new fans I would think.

I think a link to where it has been covered before would help the OP. Hes simply asking a question.

I am sure TLD (or any other personal clothing sponsor that anyone from the Honda team has) are aware of the contract that Fox has with Honda, so therefore have no difficulty with the Fox logo being more prevalent.
