Is there an easy way to replace the rear bearing on a cobra 50 rear wheel or do you need to buy a bearing tool?

Napa if in a crunch. Ebay from USA bearings if not.
Put them in the freezer.
Punch out the old ones out with a hammer and punch. I put a little grease on the new ones after cleaning out the hole.
Slide the new ones in as even as possible. Use the old bearing sitting on top of the new one as you use the hammer to tap them in.

Stem bearing can be gotten at the same places.
We are on the boys 6th cobra. From Jr's to 65's

What year is your Cobra? My boy rides a 16 King and you can get the bearings at any hardware shop for about $20. All you need is torch and a freezer. Heat them up to take them out and freeze before install. I just used a hammer and punch to get the bearings out.

2017. How long do you stick in the freezer and why do they get worn out so quickly?

Over night, there is no seal to protect them.

A few hours. They get worn out because of a couple issues. There is nothing protecting them and they are cheaply made. You can get better bearings that have a seal in them if you choose and that will lengthen life. Don't pressure wash your wheels.
