Craig Anderson at Lakes on his Castrol KTM 620... Messing around at quiet club day with local A riders.


Anderson on the YZ 400, Reed on the RM 250 (20) and Lee Masters on the KX 250 (5).



Lakes '91 with Craig Anderson, John Distefano, and Danny Ham.


Ashkanazi, Bennett, Timmins, Nicholson...


Craig Anderson in 1st, no idea 2nd, and Danny Ham in 3rd.


Chad Reed on his YZ 80.


Chad Reed on his YZ 80, then on his KX 60 towards the end.


Added this for reference to Anderson and Reed's speed. Paul Timmins (CR) and Greg Nicholson (KX) as they were both top level national riders.

Didn’t realise they had incorporated the dirt track that long ago. The tacks changed a lot since then.
I wonder how many laps Ando has done around there ?

They did that in '97 I think? I had some footage of them doing it but I think it got taped over?
EDIT: The footage was me on my Big Wheel CR80 and Chris Caslick(sp?) on his pink TM80.

I've got a few more tapes I have to convert and upload.

The 1st turn step ups. Hook in and hold it pinned and hope for the best. Loved the step ups.
Did a club day there once and in one race went clear over the top of a guy on a KX. Got back to the pits after the race and my mates goes, Some guy on a CR went over me off the start. I said I went over a guy on a KX. Good times.

I'm not sure? But yeah definitely had some big events and lots of fast guys. The step up go turned into a big triple (they just removed the first little kicker thing) I've got some blurry photos of Joel Elliot (RIP) hitting it. It was huge!

It's funny the names you remember. I can remember at the year the Aussie juniors were held at Biloela, Dean Slade won a few classes in my age group. Always wondered what happened to him.

Dean Slade was often mentioned in MiniRider back in the days- I wondered what happened to one of my child hood heroes from that error - Gianni Dalle-Molle - always had awesome bike / gear setups in MiniRider.
